Dear Families
Often someone says at a time like this .... I know how you feel but no, no one knows how you feel only that I wish I could wave a wand and this was only a nightmare that would go away....
You are in my prayers that God will lift you up to a place where you will find peace within your self.  someday and only the good memories remain.

Today we remembered you by wearing Tech colors. We gathered in front of our small rural elementary school to mourn your unfathomable losses. We wanted to be within the light that is generated by the love, respect and regard you have for each other, despite the dark time. We want to lift some small corner of your burden, but know that we cannot. We promise to honor your memories. Grace & Peace.

It took me a while to find the words to express the shock and horror of the images that I have seen on the news regarding the terrible incident that the students, faculty and employees of Virginia Tech experienced on Monday, April 16th.  I pray for the families and friends of all of the victims and offer my deepest condolences.

TO all of the students, staff and family of the victims you have my deepest sympathy and my heart goes out to you. But even in times of deep sorrow there is always a place to find comfort. The bible tells us that God is not associated with evil things and that the Devil is the God of this world. These things happening despite how horrific they may seem, are know surprise to believers. But to all of you there is hope It says in (John)that the hour is coming when all those in the tombs will here Jesus’s voice and come out. In another book it says there will be a resurrection of both good and bad. So there is hope that we all can see these indiviuals again. To all of u try and develop a relationship With Jehovah and learn about him and his son

I just wanted to send my prayers to the victims’ families and all of the VT family. I graduated from the University of Iowa, where a similar tragedy (albeit on a smaller scale) happened in 1991. Years later when I attended, students were still well aware of the ‘legend’ of the event, but it did not end up defining what the University was about. I hope the same for VT.

I am an Israeli Mother. I’d like to send my deepest feelings of sadness and condolences to the families of the young children who were senselessly and brutally murdered. Why is there so much violence?? Maybe arms should not be so freely purchased and be under supervision. I am so sorry.  Young students who had all their life before them..

I do not know what will cure such a terrible pain of the families, but maybe it will do something to supervises arms. Maybe it will be a start of a plan to fight violence..

All the warmth of the hearth to you..

I was shocked when I heard the news, I can’t believe there could be something worse than the Columbine shooting. I don’t have kids yet but it really scares me how this world is becoming more and more violent. It’s heart-breaking to think that some people are capable of hurting others tremendously.
My heart goes to the VT community, especially to the families who have lost a loved one/s in this tragedy. You are all in my prayers. May God continue to guide you, bless you and keep you strong during this ordeal.

To the entire Virgina Tech Community,

My HEARTFELT SYMPATHY to all of you!  I’m wearing maroon and orange in memory of the victims and in support of everyone in Blacksburg. May it help a little to know that others care.

I wrote NBC and my local TV station and told them I was offended by all the media attention CHO’s rants were given.  I’m sure others complained, too.  Today the media seems to be doing a better job on putting the focus on the right things.

Continued thoughts and prayers are being sent your way. One day at a time, may you heal and find peace.

Artist: Joni Mitchell Lyrics
Song: Both Sides Now Lyrics

Bows and flows of angel hair and ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere, i’ve looked at cloud that way.
But now they only block the sun, they rain and snow on everyone.
So many things i would have done but clouds got in my way.

I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now,
From up and down, and still somehow
It’s cloud illusions i recall.
I really don’t know clouds at all.

I am a student at Northwood University (Midland Campus) and when I heard about what happened at Virgina Tech I immediately felt the pain from the the University and its student’s. This has trembled our hearts and on behalf of the students at Northwood University we give you our prayers, condolences as well as encouragement to move on and be strong.

It is not easy to encounter something with such magnitude and recuperate so easily, but I am here to tell you all at Virgina Tech that God will make everything alright! Just believe in him and trust his every word. He does things for a reason and I believe that this is truly a wake up call to all of us. We need each other and we need to appreciate life itself.

This is a letter of hope, of peace, of joy for your future! As a senior I feel it is my obligation to create that and live that out for all to see. And as the worlds’ future leaders we need to take this tragedy and turn it into a positive thing. Lets be there for one another and care for each other.

So on our behalf we offer you our love and continuous prayers and know that we may be miles away, but you are always in our hearts at Northwood University (Midland, MI).

May God Bless You All!

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you “Peace be Thine” and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You’ve left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you’re always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home .

Always remember the smiles and good times. Our thoughts and prayers our with all those effected by this horrible tragedy.

I want to start off by saying I can’t believe what has happened. For the past 4 days, I have been praying for not only the families and friends that went through the tragedy, but also the VT students that have been affected by it. It’s amazing how strong you all really are after something like this has happened. I respect every single one of you that goes to VT and had to deal with everything that was going on. Don’t give up. Stay strong just like you have been and don’t let people like that win. I’m truly sorry for the losses and the injured and the memory that will be in everyone’s minds forever. I didn’t know anyone but found myself crying every day this week whenever I saw the news or listened to the radio. Reach out when you need it and stand strong in this time of crisis. My condolences for the families and friends again. God Bless the families and friends of the VT students. You are constantly in our prayers here in Roanoke.

Our sincere sympathy and love to all those who have been impacted by this evil and deadly incident.  Many of the stories shared were of heroism.  For the students that were injured may your body and soul be healed by our great God and Almighty Father.
For professor Librescu,
You spent your youth having to watch your back,
The nazi’s advanced and you ended up in a concentration camp.
You seemed to those who don’t even know you,
that you feared nothing and you did what you were compelled to do.
You cared for the youth and loved you vocation,
Many profitted by your abilities to lead,
You cared for your chicks and protected them in time of need,
you barracaded the door and told you chicks to proceed,
Out the window they flew to safety on the ground,
you stayed behind, took the bullets, and made not a sound.
You will have a crown in the Heavenly Kingdom,
You were loved and respected and will be remembered on earth and are now forever. blessed.

Though I did not know anyone involved I send love and wishes for healing to abound.
They are in the Almighty and Everlasting arms.

Peace be to all, and sincere wishes of hope and w Ann Arbor, We Wolverines are with you all the way.

I am so very sorry for what has happened to so many innocent people who had very promising lives.  Their living should not be in vain.  My prayers are with their families and I hope these families know that God does nothing wrong.  Their loved ones work done here was done and God needed them to come home and be rewarded.  Never to be forgotten but, they all will be truly missed.  Know that oneday you will reunite with your loved one.  Find it in your heart to forgive the ill person who did this and pray for his soul too.  More forward with your lives because I am sure this is what they would want you to do.  Doing this troubling time, please know that people care.  Sadly submitted.

I am a high school English and French teacher and an adjunct college English instructor from Texas, and I have never even been to Virgina, but I have had Virginia Tech on my mind and in my heart all week.  It seems unfathomable that something so horrific as Monday’s tragedy can happen on a university campus, a symbol of intellectual freedom and unadulterated potential.  Along with the families and friends of the slain and injured, I will have Virgina Tech administration, faculty, and students in my thoughts in the difficult days to come.  I am reminded of William Wordsworth’s words “There is comfort in the strength of love.  ‘Twill make a thing endurable, which else would overset the brain or break the heart.” R. Finney
