To the students, staff and families of Virginia Tech.

Just to let you know, that half way round the world, this atrocious action is being felt with the deepest disgust and contempt for the perpetrator, and sympathy and heartfelt grief for the victims.
My thoughts and prayers from Norway are with you, and the families of those affected. I can’t begin to imagine your pain - but keep strong.

Let it be known the victims will live on through you, and your school.

We will never forget

Unfortunately, I am to the language into which I would have to express it, however, not really incredibly, I would like to use, nevertheless, the opportunity to pronounce my deep condolences to you to all, student, lecturer, to friends and members of the victims. The reports in German media have made me very much affected. In thoughts I am with you.

“Bereavement in their death to feel
Whom We have never seen—
A Vital Kinsmanship import
Our Soul and theirs—between—

For Stranger—Strangers do not mourn—
There be Immortal friends
Whom Death see first—’tis news of this
That paralyze Ourselves—

Who, vital only to Our Thought—
Such Presence bear away
In dying—’tis as if Our Souls

i know you are getting a lot of these but i hope and pray everyone is alright. From my little part of the world, i sen you a virtual hug and love and my thoughts…

I asked the angels for a little something, as i do from time to time.
I asked them to send a special thought for all that are good and kind.

So when your feeling uplifted and your wondering why.

Its because that little angel has paid you a visit and not just flown by.

Dear Faculty and Students,

I was raised in VA and was devastated by the news that took place on Monday as it was my birthday. I have many fond memories of VA Tech, my father and I would go to the home games. I currently work for a University in Iowa and as many of you did, we held a candle light memorial for all who lost something or someone on Monday. You are in my heart and prayers. I was told by another holocaust survior “What doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger”. VA Tech will pull through this, it will just take some time to heal.

Dear Students of Virginia Tech,

We are a 2nd year class from a German high school, the Elly-Heuss-Schule in Wiesbaden; we are 12-13 years old.
In our English lessons, we have talked about what happened in Blacksburg.
With this letter, we would like to say our deepest condolence to all the families and friends of the victims. We, Christians and Muslims, pray for all of them and we hope that you will recover from the losses one day, and that you will overcome your darkest hour. We wish all the best for the parents whose children died so tragically; our thoughts are also with the family of the assassin, who we include in our hopes and wishes.

All the best,
Class 6c, Elly-Heuss-Schule, Wiesbaden, Germany

Being a new mother, this is just the sort of thing that frightens me about bringing a child into this world. I know that we can’t always be there to protect our children from harm, but prayer eases our minds. Pray for our kids and know that GOD’s arms are always around them no matter what. GOD bless you all.

May God bless every one.

At the rising of the sun and at its going down We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and the chill of winter We remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer We remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength We remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart We remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share We remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make We remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
-Jewish Prayer

My thoughts and prayers for each of you.
