Love cannot escape me.
As I close my eyes, still I see your face.
Feel the warmth of your breath hit my ear.
As you whisper to me.
I smile because,
You are still here.
Not taken away from me,
No never.
I will always have you.
Your smile, your laugh, your words, your life.
Our memories.
You will live on through them, this sweet life.
And me, my friend?
I will live for the both of us.

As I read through this memorial page it touches my heart deeply that people from not only all over this country, but all over the world, are mourning the loss of those who tradgicly lost their lives this week in Virginia.  If one positive thing could come from this horrible event, I can only hope that it would be that of bringing the human race closer together.

The professors who had their lives taken on Monday had already impacted so many people throughout the world, and the students who are now gone would have certainly done the same.  Therefore we all mourn the loss of so many wonderful, beautiful people.

To the family and friends of those who’ve now gone, may you be able to find a little bit of peace as each day passes.  Please know that those you love have found a place in all of our hearts.  You and your loved ones are in so many of our thoughts and prayers this week, and for many weeks to come.

I hope that you can find some comfort in knowing that the Hokies lost are now in a safe place with God.

To the Students, Faculty, Staff and family members of Virginia Tech: we can only grieve at the tragic loss at your campus. So many lives cut short. And yet, I cannot but realize that acts such as these serve to make us stop and consider how short our time on this Earth really is, and how we should cherish the time that we have with our loved ones.

May you find comfort in the fact that we, the Faculty, Staff, Students and families at the University of Texas at Austin stand united with you in your time of grief. May you find comfort in knowing that your whole community is in our deepest prayers.

Our condolences to the loved ones of the victims and of the perpetrator of this tragedy, and to all the survivers.

God bless you all.

Hope these words would give you some comfort.  FOOTPRINTS
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonged to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me. The LORD replied, “My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good

For the pain of all those who suffered in the VT shooting, i give you my sympathy, it is a tragedy and i am sorry but remember, keep your head held high along with your spirits, you are not broken, you are stronger, your are together, you are the Hokies....

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this very difficult time.  My daughter is a freshman and Texas A&M and I think about how easily it could have happened on that campus or any other campus across the country.  You may say why? of how could we have stopped it? We may never know but I am sure the spirit of the Hookies will remain strong. May God give you the peace that only He can give during this time!

I am heartsick hearing of the tragedy at Virginia Tech.  In 2005 I visted that campus with my husband and son.  My son was almost convinced he would attend VT.  We loved the campus and the whole town and area pleased us. The university has a phenomenal reputation.  Today I am grateful my son chose elsewhere because of this awful event.  My sincerest condolences go out to the families of the slain students.  I pray everyday for you to have strength and courage to go forward.  I cry and cry over this loss.  Also I pray for the students who are recovering.  It will be a long hard road but you are Hokies and that is your strength and God will watch over you, bless you and keep you.
