It was not long ago that Montreal shared a similar experience when a man entered Dawson College and began shooting innocent people.  Thoughts and prayers are with all students, staff, faculty, and families.  It is a tragic event and we must pray for the victims and hope these actions are never repeated.

I will wear a ribbon of burgandy and orange sharing my grief and prayers to the student’s, faculty, and the families who have lost loved ones and those who were injured in this assault.
Attending college is the first step into adulthood and to learn more about the world around them. It is with heart felt sadness that student’s who came to learn and faculty that sought to expand mind’s had to deal with a person that needed help a long time ago.

God bless.

As a native of southwest Virginia I have closely followed the events at VT. I felt like I’d been hit in the stomach when my Mom called and told me to turn on CNN. Also, my husband is a graduate of VT so he especially keeps you all in his thoughts. Seeing the images from Monday just broke my heart. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain that the families of the lost are suffering.

I do want the VT community to know that some people around the country do feel a terrible kinship with the students, past & present, of VT. I am a graduate of the Appalachian School of Law and we suffered our own horrendous losses in Jan. 2002.

Remember none of you are alone. Transplanted Hokies and southwest Virginians will help in any way we can no matter where we are found. We love you all and will hold you close to our hearts always.

Virginia Tech employees, students, faculty and administration,

This tragedy is a sad event to open the eyes of the role teachers and administration can play.  Despite your own grief, your willingness to let the world know their is unity in keeping the school going and help available to the grief stricken.

Prays are with all as the reality sets in and words can not be found to explain the emotions, reality and tragedy experienced in your school environment. May the Lord be with all to give forgiveness, hope and take away fear that this can present.

No one can express the sadness that Americans as a whole feel for the entire Hokie family. Please know that the world is by your side in this sad time and that it is not the time to mourn the loss of life but to celebrate the lives lived by all of these individuals. There are many banners across the internet reading “Today, we are all Hokies” and I dont think that the feeling could be expressed any more perfectly. God bless to all who were effected.

Our thoughts are with you all.
I saw it on tv. It makes me also very very sad. I have two children at the age 20 and 19. My daughter is also at university.
These things can really happen everywhere. the victims had been at the wrong place at the wrong time.
I wonder what had happened to the young guy that made him that terribly bad.
We also will send you our prayers, we feel deeply with you.
