Even though I do not have any personal relations with the slain victims, facility or students at VA Tech, I would still wish to extend my condolences to every person affected by this tragedy.  This horrific slaughter has touched my heart and others here in my community.  I hope and pray other innocent human beings will never have to witness such cruelty.
God’s Peace Be With You.  Blessings,

I am keeping all of you in my prayers.  These tradgedies are so senseless.  It is so hard to understand the “why” of such a horrific event, and it can really shake one’s faith.  I will pray that your faith is sustained, and that all of you at Virginia Tech, as well as all the families, draw closer together and are covered by an especially strong warmth of God’s love healing.  Please know that the whole country is surrounding you in love and prayer.

I wanted to say that I have everyone in my prayers. Every parent, friend and relative that have to greive, will greive for a while but just know that your love ones are in a better place. They are looking down and watching over you all. Have Faith and know that one day soon, you will all be reunited again.

Dear Hokie Nation,
There are really no words to adequately express my sorrow over the tragic, senseless events that have befallen your community this past week. I am struck by how indiscrimately the victims were chosen-the young and the old of various races and creeds.... But in fact, we are all victims.
And yet, I am hopeful that all will truely be able to overcome victim status. I am hopeful that ultimately peace will prevail and that peace can begin with one person at a time, and can grow with each small act of kindness and compassion.

I posted before but I just wanted to say that our church (Holy Trinity otherwise known as Platt) in Manchester, England will be saying a prayer for you all on Sunday in the services.  I asked our minister and he said he would add Virginia Tech to the prayers.  We have lots of students in our church and most of us were students at one time and I wanted us even in a small way to show we are thinking of you.  God bless you all.  Alison Garner

Although I live across the country, I am deeply moved by the losses you are suffering. My grandparents lived up the road from Roanoke near the town of Buchanan. I have been to your campus. It is such an idyllic setting for educating the future leaders of our nation. It is hard to see it as a place of such horrific violence against students and educators. I am praying for you all. May the God of all comfort be an encouragement to you in your time of sorrow. Live for the better days ahead and look to put these bitter days behind.

On this week of school vacation with my 1st and 9th grader, it is very hard to not stay tuned to all of the tragic news at VT.  I also work in a Middle School and can say after this terrible tragedy I will not let any suspicious student go unknown.  It is time we stopped turning our backs and help these children.  I am squeezing my children tighter and praying everyday for all of you.

It takes a long time to get used to the loss of someone we love, But it’s important to remember that when people die, they leave something very special behind...They leave us memories of many things they said and did. And as long as we have those memories, the people we love will live on in our hearts and minds.
To all the people that lost loved ones and to all the people that feel as if they have lost loved ones, my heart felt sympathy goes out to you.

Please help the victims and please help the Mentally Ill.I have a brother who is non violent but lives in torment for years and years and a shame complex.I am ready to help others and it is so hard for me and want people like Oprah who have the audience to urge all mentally ill to come forward and their families and to get help and to pray for the families.I am depressed and 58 and my brother lives in isolation.I repeat he is non violent but has no friends or hope.I cried for the guy who did this awful horrible deed that his soul was so dark and he could of not been stopped God how I cry for that and all these horrible deeds.In God’s name and for these lovely wonderful victims so kind and loving and so much of life that was taken lets give life to the mentally ill and the victims by honoring the victims that we reach out to the lonely and dispared by helping others these wonderful folks would of wanted it this way they did not need to die and neither did the shooter he needed to have friends and to have access to help that he needed

7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.

8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret-it leads only to evil.

9 For evil men will be cut off,
but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

Myself, the other 25,999 students that attend Virginia Tech, the faculty, the staff, the families of the victims, and the victims themselves have no idea why on April 16, 2007 one man felt in necessary to play God and take the lives of 32 HOKIES into his own hands. The unfortunate truth is,…. that he did. Virginia Tech is an amazing school and an even better family. This tragedy will put a dent in or hearts but it will not bring us down. We are strong, we are together, we are HOKIES. I ask that everyone keep the victims and their families in their thoughts and prayers so that they may never be forgotten.

As an Academic Advisor at Canadian University in Windsor, Ontario, I share your grief and sorrow. I think about all the advisors and counsellors at your institution how important and difficult their work has now become when they have to support their student advisees while they themselves are grieving a loss of so many young lives at their campus.
May God bless you and guide you.

My heart aches for entire Virginia Tech Family.

For the ones that lost loved ones, I am truly sorry. My prayer is that you will find peace and comfort in the days that lie ahead.

For the one injured and their families, there will be tough days ahead, but you will see them through.

To all affected, always look up. Do your best to not dwell on events but do your best to learn from them. Cherish each and every moment. “For we will not pass this way again.”

I have driven many times on I-81 near your town of Blacksburg—such a beautiful part of the country and one of my favorite drives.  So it’s with a mixture of both fondness and sadness that I write this.

This has hit me hard just as 9/11 did. It completely took all my breath away like being punched in the stomach. What got me thru 9/11 is getting me thru 4/16. Seeing the wonderful spirit and compassion of the VT community on campus as well as off-campus, seeing the world respond, listening to the magnificent words of Nikki, etc, is lifting my spirits, making me want to be part of the healing, making me prouder than ever to be a citizen of the Hokie nation. We are the Hokies, we are Virginia Tech, we will survive and most of all, we will never forget! Hail to those who made the extreme sacrifice, they will be remembered, they make us stronger for their sacrifice, they are loved. God Bless the Hokie Nation!
