Here is a link to a one page comic story written about a man who loses his fiancee on September 11th. The story is about coping with loss, and perhaps it might offer some form of comfort to your students. The story, titled ‘Life Goes On’ was originally published in Volunteer Magazine. You have permission to use it however is to the best benefit.

My deepest sympathy,

Dr. Liviu Librescu, I read this earlier this morning and immediately thought of you:

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:12-13

Thank you for demonstrating the greatest love.

I can truely say that it’s sad what has happened America claims to be the best country in the world. America has many murders each year in L.A over 1000 murdered a year in new york same thing goes there’s several states that produce large amounts of murders yearly no offence america just because a peice of paper says you have the right to fire arms that peice of paper was written a long long time ago it’s time to look at the times now and maybe change your gun laws i mean colarado now this if you banned guns you would decrease the chances of this happening it is really sad but your government needs to review their murder statistics yearly and you will really see how great america really is you thats where the saying comes from “ONLY IN AMERICA” I’m downunder and I’m so pissed at the government they did this by allowing guns I see shows here like COPS and other crime documentaries on cable tv and man IT’S TIME AMERICA REVIEWS THEIR GUN LAWS DISREGARD THAT BIT OF PAPER THE FOUNDING BRO’S WROTE AND RE-WRITE ONE THAT SUITS THE TIMES THAT WE ARE LIVING IN NOW!!!!!!! With deepest sympathy for your losses and injuries. This has been a terrible tragedy which, although employing modern means, comes from the darkest and oldest recesses of the human mind. I sincerely hope that, in time, you are all able to offer the World - and be offered by it - much goodness and understanding, to counter the evil that has visited you.

Best wishes to you all.

I still continue to be saddened by the events that took place Monday morning.  I am a graduate of Florida State, and this hit close to home, knowing that just the day before, FSU and Virginia Tech had played a 3-game baseball series in Tallahassee.

May God bless you all and embrace you with His loving touch during this difficult time.  May I just say that during these trying times...We are ALL Hokies!

Even though I don’t currently live in Virginia, I admire the beauty of the Virginia Tech campus each and everytime I pass through on Rt 460 on my way to my home town of Lynchburg, VA.  My son is 12 years old and talks often of wanting to attend Virginia Tech when he’s ready for college. I would be proud to have him attending such a fine instution when the time comes. Our thoughts prayers and condolences are with all the Virginia Tech families.  May God be with you all and comfort you in this time of need.

Much love, many thoughts and prayers to you all from our family to yours.

Please know that this entire country is praying for you all. Not only the ones killed and injured, but for all of the students. Use this to make something of your go forward in the victims name. We must all ban together to stop these senseless acts of violence in our schools. Places where we as parents feel our children are safe and enjoying the times of their lives. My hope is that students everywhere, while still being vigilent in recognizing warning signs, can go about freely through their schools without fear. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, victims, student, families and everyone else affected by this horrible tragedy! Tristen

To all who have been touched by this senseless act; our family extends its sincere sorrow.
Dont let it break your faith. Faith that human beings are for the most part good and capable of great deeds of kindness...take strength in the song by Aretha Franklin and Mary J Blidge “Never gonna break my faith"… it sends a powerful message that the human spirit can rise above unbearable sorrow and go on ...That the eternal flame from the candle of love and kindness cant be extinquished by acts of unspeakable cruelty.
Lean on each other find strength in numbers and be kind to one another...Our family and the world are praying for you.
All our best

My sincere condolences to the families of all affected by this tragedy.  Hopefully it will help to know that even though I dont know you and will probably never meet any of you, you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Although we are thousands of miles apart, I share your sadness.  As the mother of a daughter the same age as the children you have lost I pray to God I never have to go through what you are going through now.  My daughter attends a University in London and when she came home on Monday evening, I just hugged her and told her I love her.  God bless you all; your children are at rest and in our hearts.

I am very sorry for your loss. Iam sure you are all very devistated, and I wish that I could help. This was coming for a long time, because of Cho’s behavior. I just wish that something more could have been done for him, so maybe this wouldn’t have happened. I watched all the videos and everything about it. I am doing a reporton itfor school. I hope we get down to the bottom of this and this will never happen again. That man in the gun store should have never sold him the gun. It lookedlike he was planning it for awhie, and he was showing weird behavior. Again, I’m sorry for your loss, and I hope it never happens again. Thank you for listening. This site is really great.I hope nobody makes negative comments. Take care and stay safe!

Our prayers go out to each and every one of you during these difficult days. Please know that once a Hokie always a Hokie and may that Hokie spirit keep you going. Words can not express the sorrow I feel for all of the you who endured this awful tragedy. I’ve always been told that everything happens for a reason but for the life of me I can’t not understand the reason for this. I wish I had the power to turn back the hands of time and spare you all the pain and sorrow that you will always feel. To the families and friends who lost the ones that meant so much to them I pray for your healing. I pray for the victims. Even though God asks us to forgive I can not bring myself to ever forgive the the person responsible for all of this. I hope that the world never again see’s such a tragic act again.
