To all of you Hokies that experienced this tragedy:
I went to Grad School at VA Tech back in 1987 and loved the beaty of the school and all of the people that make it a family. I grieve with ya’ll. I heard about the tragedy and the pain in my heart reminded me I AM a Hokie. I am praying of all of you. Love one another, don’t let hate or anger win. Show the world that love is stronger than guns, and courage always wins out over cowardace.

As an Australian it is quite saddening and scary when we hear about these things happening. When it first came on tv as breaking news and as the story and events unrolled, I cried, and I do each time there is something more to learn about what happened. This is such a dreadful thing that has happened, so I want to send my deepest sympathy and condolences to all affected by this terrible event. Our love and support is with you all all the way from Down Under. So sorry xx Laura E

Dear Virginia Tech students, families, and friends,

I was deeply sadden when I heard about the tragedy that struck your campus on Monday morning.  I read every profile of every victim that was posted on the last night.  The more I read, the more the tears rolled down my face.
This nation lost a lot of great people that were already making a difference in the world, or young adults ready to make a difference with the education that they received at VT.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all the grieving families, friends and fellow students.
Stay strong and just know that millions are thining about you every second of the day.

Dear students, faculty, family and friends of the victims ,

I cannot imagine it to be harder to express in words how saddened I am by your senseless loss.
You have been a true inspiration, you shine in strength and courage.
My Mother and step Father have both directed their departments at Arizona State University, we have shed many tears, and cannot imagine it being in our University, or how we might handle such an event.
We are and will be praying for you, as Americans we feel this deeply. I wish to God that I could help.

I was shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic event on Monday. My heart goes to all the victims and their families involved in this event. I also wish all the injuried people a speedy recovery. Even though I live far away in China,I was deeply touched by the solidarity of the students and faculty in VT and of your whole country. As a teacher myself,I hope this is the very last time this kind of tragedy will ever happen on school campus.

My heart goes out to each and everyone at Vt Tech . No one deserved what happened ! Simple as that. I remember in 1999 around the same time as columbine one of our teachers In Edinboro, Pa was shot at a 8th grade Dinner Dance ! I cried for all of those students in fear and confusion and mostly for that innocent beautiful soul of a teacher , Mr. Gillet . So I feel all of your pain and wish nothing but strength and blessings . May God Bless you all and may the guardian angels watch over your Beautifully spirited school. Take care of one another and you will be able to pull through GOD BLESS!

God Bless each and everyone of you touched so profoundly by this horrible deed and loss.

Loss is always hard to accept, but when you are so young and strong, it must be even harder to accept.

I pray that God’s mercy and strength be with you at this awful time, and I know that right now, all seems gloomy.

Please believe me, it will get better.  I don’t know the reason, but we are all here for a reason and everything that happens does so for a reason.

Be strong, have faith and I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

To my brothers and sisters at Virginia Tech,

As I watch the unending coverage of your tragedy, I can’t help but pray for each one of you. Your stories touch the very depths of my heart. Please know that although there are people in this world who have no respect for human life, there are more people who reach out to you in this time. I serve a God who loves you! I know there are not words that will make this horror go away.  The pride and loyalty you display within your VT community is inspiring.  I hope you will find comfort in this passage from the book of Psalms.

In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame.
Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness;
turn your ear to me and save me.
Be my rock of refuge,
to which I can always go;
give the command and save me,
for you are my rock and fortress.

There is a God that loves each one of you and wants to help you through what is sure to be the most difficult time in your life. I can’t say that I know how you feel, but HE has been there. Jesus wants to be your refuge in this time. I pray that you are able to use HIS grace and mercy to get you through these times.

May God Bless each one of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers always!

Especially to the family of Liviu Librescu…
I do not wish to minimize the death of any victim of this horrible tragedy. My heartfelt condolences go out to each and every one of the victims families and friends. But I feel the world has lost an extrordinary person with Mr Librescu’s passing. I know only what I have read in the articles and seen on TV. Even though there are individuals like Cho in this world I feel a great comfort in knowing that there was an individual like Mr Librescu. A selfless man who thought of what he could do for others,
not what others had done to him. In years to come when this day, April 16th, is remembered I will shed tears again for this great man.

Dear Virginia Tech & Blacksburg, VA community;

I am praying for you. I know there aren’t enough words anyone can say. I know the pain runs deep. I also know this is a time to talk with each other or a group of people who you know will be there praying & encouraging you each and everyday. “Take one day at a time”. God loves all of you & He will provide what you need plus give you the strength “daily” to keep going. Cherish the memories of your friends, because “they will always live forever in your heart”. (NOONE CAN TAKE THAT AWAY)! Here are some scriptures for encouragement: “The Lord is my light & my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life: of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms 27:1) “God is our refuge and strength,a very present help in trouble.” (Psalms 46:1)"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth”. (Psalms 121) These scriptures seem to strengthen me; I hope they will be a blessing to you. God bless you and know someone is praying for you!!!!!!!
