It is difficult to comprehend what the students, faculty, families and community are currently going through.  It is rare that such utter hatred is displayed so maliciously, and with such disregard.  I hope that all people affected by this horrific tradgedy will find peace, comfort, and stength in this time of need.  The thoughts and prayers of the world are with you and as you greive know that the world does as well.  My hope is that in the midst of such terrible circumstances comfort can be found in the heroism and stregth of those who lost their lives protecting their fellow students and teachers.  You are truly heros who should not be forgotten.  To the families of all those killed, my deepest sympathy and condolences.  I pray that you will find comfort and support in your time of grief.

There are no words that can heal a broken heart, but it will help a little to know how many are thinking of the students that were killed, that witnessed the shootings, that were there and all the faculty too. We have been praying daily for all your souls to be healed the best and fastest way possible.  May God bless all of you that attend VT or teach there. No one ever should have witnessed such a terrible crime. I pray God can help erase those images after time and heal you completely.  hugs to all @ VT My prayers are too with the families that have lost a loved one.

Virginia Tech students,
I offer my condolences to all those who have lost family and friends in the knowledge that this is so inadequate in comparison to what you are all going through at this time.  This event will make you all stronger in time.  Stick together and support each other in the knowledge that students of all colour, nationally and religion stand with you! God bless & take care!

2 Days ago I had to tell my little girl why I was in tears, and tell her something I had not planned to, 20 years ago I had been in a massacre too.Maybe its the fact that the 20th anniversary is close, Hungerford was a horror at the time, yours is now. You will recover, it will take time, but you do rebuild your lives, they are never ever the same again, you will wonder what person you would have been if this had not happened, but this has been sent for you to deal with, to make you a stronger person.
I had therapy and am grateful to those that helped me come to terms with what I went through. I still live in Hungerford, and walk past where it all began on the school run.
I do hope that this event make your gun laws a lot tighter, I am horrified at how easy it is to purchase a gun in the USA, and how much you all think it normal and acceptable to need a weapon.
My thoughts are with you all at this time, you will recover in time, Be strong! CarolHarrison (Hall)

Words cannot begin to express the sorrow I feel for all of the teachers, students, parents & others who have endured such an enormous loss in your lives. How one person could be so selfish & cruel to take innocent peoples lives the way he did is unimagineable. I cannot begin to know the pain & sorrow in you hearts & I am so sorry for you. Please know that our loving God will help to guide you through these times of sorrow, & know that the entire nation holds you close to our hearts & we will continue to pray for everyone effected by this horrible tragedy.

It is hard to know what to say. Every time I try to, the words fail me !
Life at it’s most dynamic time, when young people prepare themselves for their future, study, work, make friends for life and are at their most vital, is something to be relished and enjoyed to the max !
The fact that in the midst of that, another young life is making preparations of an entirely different sort as a result of troubled life, is so tragic and profoundly sad that it IS hard to know what to say.
The implications are too many to list.
I cannot imagine what you are all going through and will have to endure in the time ahead, but I send you my most heartfelt thoughts and prayers !
You are in my mind and heart !
