Condolences, April 18, 2007

Where to begin?  I like many Americans shed a tear with the Hokie community and the families whose losses cannot be measured nor understood.  I sit here gazing at a picture of my 6 month old daughter unable to comprehend your loss because I cannot imagine my world without her and my wife.  My family sends you are prayers and love.  My hope is that you will be touched by God’s grace and healing power in this time of grief.  Know that you are loved by strangers.  Take care and God Bless!!!

Though our family lives on the other side of the nation in the West, our hearts are extremely heavy of this senseless tragedy.  Our love and prayers go out to all the VT community.  May the students and faculty slain rest in peace in their Heavenly home.  I truly believe in Heaven and Hell....and I believe the shooter is in Hell burning for all eternity!!
Our prayers are that VT stay strong, regroup and love and embrace one another....take care of each other.  Our family loves VT sports, especially basketball and football, and know that VT is a fine university!!  This will not be a setback to continue and even strengthen VT’s greatness and excellence in education.

I wish to stretch out my heart and condolences to the Staff, Teachers, and especially to my long Distance Brothers and Sister Classmates in this time of mourning. Yes, it is very sad and it does remind us of what this world has become and that we needs The Kingdom of God within our mist.

Many years ago I met four men who decided to ram planes into towers (yes 911)and I understand the shock and horror which has come upon all of you.

This is a time for prayer not only for each other but also for the one who did this. The Bible does say “Love your enemies and pray for those who spitefully use you”. It does applied in this situation. This is the time which inner strength and character will shine.

Also remember those who died will be honor most when the living celebrate life.

Nine years ago, the community I lived in, had a school shooting. It hit so many of us so very hard--and has left many in the community changed individuals--forever… I cannot imagine how difficult this is for all of you affected by this tragic situation. The only piece of advice I can offer is to hold tight to one another… My sincerest condolences… Jennifer

VT students, professors and surrounding community, my heart goes out to all of you. Especially to those who lost a loved one or a friend. I have no affiliation with your school, but I honestly feel broken hearted for what has taken place. I am a retired military member and I am acquainted with grief in more ways than one. I do hope that all of you will allow time to mourn for what has happened. The pain and memories of that Monday will never fully go away, but I hope over time that they will lessen, and that you all hold onto what is good. It is possible for your joy to return, please do not let this senseless act take over your lives. As bad as it has been, please remember the good things about your friends and loved ones. You will truly honor them by being the best you can be, and holding them in high esteem. I salute you all, especially those students who were able to block entry into their classrooms during this tragedy. God bless Virginia Tech!!

Stay strong and never forget.

I feel deeply stunned about this campus shooting in USA. I can’t imagine the magnitude of this killings. Lord Buddha always said Killing is very wrong and it is a greater sin. But, we should not get angry, even with our own killer.

May all who grieve today, be blessed with hope, comfort and happiness! Today, we may sit in meditation for all who lost their lifes to achieve inner peace one day!

You’ll never walk alone as long as others care
When sadness fills your heart and the pains to much to bear. You’ll never walk alone.  As long as you can trust That God is going to be there to hold you in His loving hands and put peace in your heart.

We all will understand it’s going to take some time. With prayers and faith you’ll make it.  You at Va Tech are family so please continue to stay together and stay strong for one another.  That’s what will get you through each day.  Lean not on your own understanding.

We’re all mourning for your losses.  Sending continued prayers and love your way.  Remember to smile at the good memories with every tear that you cry.
God Bless
