Word can never truly tell you all at Virginia Tech how truly sorry the Blake family are for the tragedy and senseless lose of so many gifted students and faculty and we as a nation Mourns with you. I graduated last year from Lehman College and would never in a life time picture something like this taken place at a higher education institution. We as a nation care so deeply and know this could have very well been our love ones. So we pray that God with give you the strength to go on at this very difficult time in your life’s, God peace be with you all.

Found this poem on the web
At the rising of the sun and at its going down, we remember them. Winter. In the rebirth of spring, we remember them. At the beginning of the year and when it ends, we remember them. When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember them. When we are lost and sick at heart, we remember them. When we have joys we yearn to share, we remember them. When we have decisions that are difficult to make, we remember them when we have achievements that are based on theirs, we remember them. As long as we live, they too shall live, for they are a part of us, as we remember them.
Love the Blake Family.

It’s hard to understand God’s plan in the wake of a tragedy of this magnitude, but I pray you all have rest in knowing that He is not the author of evil and sometimes allows terrible things to happen for reasons we cannot understand.  He is a loving and gracious God.  My prayers are with you and I hope that you all find hope and light in the midst of all the darkness, I know He will support you if you cannot go on alone.  I urge anyone who nelds help to seek it, many are willing to give you whatever you need. I love all of you and my prayers are with you continually.

I am so saddened by the horrific events that took place on April 16, 2007. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2005. I never ever felt unsafe there. My heart hurts for the families, the university, and the community of Blacksburg. But I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that next year and the years to follow, VT will be the safest campus in America. I know that Hokie Nation will rise up and come together...out of this terrible situation with hope and courage to stand together. God bless Virginia Tech.

To the friends and families of those lost, know that this event has touched far more people than you can even imagine.  We are all holding onto you and you should take from our strength.

VT is an inspiration for a nation, for the world, as to what we all have the potential for if we put aside our differences and pull together for the common good.

VT stand tall and be strong.  Each and every one of you should be very proud of yourselves and your school.  Those who were lost are looking down on you with great pride. Yes, whenever VT is mentioned, this event will be forever remembered, but what will be remembered more is the way you have all pulled together as a family of more than 26,000 and shown the world that love and goodness far exceed evil. As the future leaders of our country, remember what power there is in righteousness and remember what a positive impact you have had on the world during some of your darkest days.  We share your pain.

As an alumni of Virginia Tech, my family, friends and I are in complete and udder shock that something of this magnitude would ever happen at our beloved campus.  Even though it has only begun to sink in, this will be felt in so many ways for a long time.  However, we ARE Virginia Tech.  We are the Hokie Nation.  Dr. Giovanni put it so elequontly in her beautiful poem at the convocation on Tuesday.  We shall embrace this.  Our prayers go out to all Hokies.  And on days like this, we are all Hokies.  As part of the Hokie family, we are here for those that need a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen.  If you wish to call or contact us, those of you familiar with VT know how to reach us.  May God bless us all.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of those who lost family and friends at Virginia Tech. I don’t think the word “tradgey” can even begin to describle the incomprehensible loss of life that occured on Monday. A tradegy is a car accident...or the suicide of a loved one...I don’t think that the words on our lips can describe the loss that we all felt around the nation. Especially those who lost someone. So senseless… As a mother I can’t imagine the pain that the mothers and fathers feel...and as a sister, I can’t imagine the loss of my lifelong friend. I hope that you can begin healing. Remember that God is with you always, especially in these times of sorrow. May peace be with you all.

As a young adult I know what it’s like to lose friends that are close to you. I am sooo sorry for everything that you have dealt with this past week.
My prayers go out to those that lost loved ones, and friends; to those that still don’t know whether their loved one is ok or not; and to those that were sitting right next to someone when ther life was stolen from them. That is the WORST thing that anyone should ever have to deal with, and as a young adult it’s even worse.
I cannot even try to make things better, but know that people areound the world are praying for you all.

Throughout all of this horrific tragedy, my family and I remain proud to be members of the Blacksburg community. We are all experiencing such deep heaviness in our hearts, a darkness over our community. We must never forget the promise in the lives lost as we move forward. I encourage everyone, especially the NATIONAL news media to please stop asking what could have been done differently, which only causes anger and pain - this does not allow our community to heal. Let us begin to be at peace with what has occurred, comfort one another, and grow in spirit and hope.
