We, all Mongolian graduates of Virginia Tech, feel unspeakable sorrow and sadness for what happened at our school. It is always with the sense of pride that we remember our years at Virginia Tech – the wonderful learning and living experience that paved the way to our career achievements. We express our thoughts and condolences to our professors, students, friends and those who lost their loved ones. Virginia Tech and Blacksburg have always been and will be a special place for us and our families.

As Tech alumni we want you to know that you have been in our thoughts and prayers. We cannot imagine what the victims’ families are going through right now. Watching the news coverage has made us so proud to be Hokies!  You have shown the nation, indeed the world, what true caring for our fellow man is all about.  May God Bless

To the sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta and the rest of the Virginia Tech family.  You guys are constantly in our thoughts and prayers at this time.  We are told to always pray for those who have touched your life and those whose lives you have touched whether its realized or not.  To my sisters...look beside you and be thankful you are here and your sisters are here to console you, but look behind you as well because you are part of an International group that loves you and stands beside you at this time.

My deepest sympathies and with those lost and injured during this horrifically tragic event.  It is incomprehensible that someone would do something so horrible.

I want to share my condolences, although I’m not from the school, or even from the U.S. I’m also a polytechnic student, from Turku in Finland, and I was watching CNN for many hours when the horrible situation started to unwrap. I’m sorry for all the losses, and hope that your school and all the students will be ok. I’m sure you are strong people, and one day you’ll be able to overcome the sorrow and fear that so many had to experience. I wish you all the best!

I am very sorry about the events that unfolded this week on campus.  Everything that I have seen show that these students will be perfect leaders in our country.  I hope that all of the families, and friends that have lost members can get on with the grieving process and continue their lives as a much stronger person.  May God bless all of you.  May we all learn something about how the VT community handled this situation and that this tragic situation can help us to better prepare for similar situations in the future.  Again God bless all of you on showing your courage and commitment.
Love and Peace to all of you

May those who mourn and suffer during this time find meaning in the days ahead.  May the pain turn at some point in the future to the reality that life is but a brief moment, yet death is not final because we live on in the hearts of those who remember.  May we preserve the memory of all those who perished in violence, and send healing to those left behind.  Treasure those around you, let them know their importance.  Do not take a single day for granted.  May the world have peace.  Amen.

It breaks my heart to see such horror at my school, and to see people place blame on President Steger and the police.  My heart goes out to the victims, their families and friends, and every single Hokie no matter how long ago you attended Tech.  This was our home, and for some it still is, and I can’t stand seeing it like this.  But we will overcome this—we Hokies are a strong bunch, and though it will be difficult, we can do it.

My heart and prayers go out to all of you who have been affected by this tragedy. I can understand your pain. It’s been nearly 20 years since a gunman killed 7 of my co-workers but every time I hear of another shooting it brings tears to my eyes that someone else has to go through that pain. It does get easier over time. I pray you seek the couseling you need(a friend, clergyman, professional, or God). What ever you do you need an outlet, someone to talk to. Be there for each other but reach out for you too.
My Heart felt prayers go out to you.

Our thoughts and hearts are with all of you at Virgina Tech throughout this tragedy.  We are especially sad for the families of the victims.  We should not forget the parents of Cho Seung-Hui who must be mourning not only for the loss of their own son but for what he did to cause pain to so many others.

Our flag waves at half-mast today.  We should try to learn from what happened on Monday so that something like this will never happen again.

My prayers and sympathy goes out to the Families & Friends of Virginia Tech students and faculty.

After the Storm
When things go wrong, as they sometime will, When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill, When the funds are low, and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is weird with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out, Don’t give up though the pace seems slow, You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far. So stick in the light when you’re hardest hit, It’s when things seem worse, That you must not quit.

It boggles my mind how something like this can even happen.  I’m sure that I’m not the only one who feels this way.  We will probably never understand why things like this happen.  All I do know is that my heart truly hurts for the family and friends who have lost people that are near and dear to them.  My continuous thoughts and prayers go out to each and every one.  May you find comfort and peace from God during this tragic time.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Faculty, Staff and Students at Virginia Tech.  To those families that have experienced the terrible loss of a son, daughter, husband, wife, or a friend, may God be with you.  I too work at a University with an open campus and it brings to mind how vunerable we are. My son went to a college in Virginia and I know how peaceful the campuses are.  Please know that the country is behind you as you go on with the healing process.  You will all be in our prayers!  Go Hoakies.

My wife and I would like to express our deepest condolences about what happened last Monday. I cannot even begin to think how the student’s parents would feel and I cannot do anything but to mourn their loss. I, a VT alum (2002 M.S graduate) still do remember that we didn’t lock our doors in our apartments. Such was a community; Blacksburg was. I just hope all will be safe in the future and hope for no more such black days.

My sincerest and deepest sympathies again.
