Although we never know why these things happen, have comfort in knowing the entire world is sharing in your pain. Your loss is great and it will never be forgot. Endure through this and memorialize your friends, classmates & teachers by holding your head up high and continuing on. Do well. They will not have been lost in vain.
God bless you all

I have a cousin that attends VT. He is thankfully ok. However, I can’t express how sorry I am for all the friends and family that lost someone in this horrible tragedy. Every unanswered question you are thinking or saying… the world is thinking and saying with you. Everyone that lost their lives that day is in a special part of the worlds heart. I’ve read all the profiles and they were all beautiful individuals. XO

We wish we had words… the right words.

Please know that the nation greaves with and for you – each of you at Virginia Tech.  It’s been said, “nobody deserves tragedy” and that is true.  None of you – none of you young people working so hard to build your/our future, none of you whom are instilling knowledge and wisdom into our next generations.

Our heart bloods for you all and our tears they fall watching your faces, the pain many families will be trying to cope with for years.  We feel the sorrow we share the fears.

Our hearts are broken, but they are on the mend after seeing the sprit shown by everyone at Virginia Tech yesterday.

Are thoughts are with you

I pray for the families that grieve for their lost sons and daughters. There is absolutely nothing that can be said to heal this this time.  We all must take time to mourn and remember and only then can the family, friends and nation heal, only then can we begin to truly grasp what this horrible tragedy has done to us all, only then can our spirit of hope be rebuilt....time.

April 18, 2007, 8:31am • Chicago, Il • #9675

My thoughts and Prayers go out to the students who have experienced this tragedy first hand, and to all those families whose loved ones will never be able to fulfill thier once hopes and aspirations.  Such a tragic event can never be predicted or even prevented really but I hope that even though we did not experience this first hand that all the Virginia Tech staff and students know that we are thinking of them, crying and grieve with them as well. This event hit home for me because my cousin attends VT, though she was not harmed it was an eye opener for me, and how much I really take people for granted.  After this event I cried and called everyone I knew just to tell them that I loved them and appreciated them. I attend Northampton Community College and just in February we had a bomb threat, and after something like this happens you realize that it could happen anywhere at anytime. April 16th 2007 will forever be burned into the minds and hearts of everyone across not only the US but the world, and those lost will never be forgotten.

As a hokie alum I want to remind everyone how strong and united we are.  This is a sad time for the hokie nation but in the end we will show the world that we stand together and will overcome this tragedy.

Searching for words to express my deepest sympathies has proven to be a difficult task.  The myriad emotions swirling through my mind cannot even begin to compare to the enormity of the situation many parents, relatives, and friends are coping with during this time.  I pray for the victims and all of the people connected to them.  From this senseless tragedy, we must find the sense to alter laws and attitudes to prevent the nation from feeling this indescribable pain again.  We shall remember, we shall honor, we shall change.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the Virginia Tech community.  The Hokie spirit will endure!!!

He created me, and had a plan for me.
He knew me before I was born
He planned for my life before i knew my name
He loved me with all his heart.
He has called me now,
Like I didn’t know when he planned for my birth,
I can’t tell you why I have been called so soon
But know, iam in a better place
Smiling down on you, take heart and be strong
Live for me, and always remember me.

Love of its muted music breathes no sigh,
Thoughts in her ivory tower gropes in her spinning,
Toss on in vain the whispering trees of Eden,
Last of all words spoken is, Good-bye.

Best wishes to the families of the victims.

My prayer is that the Lord will strengthen the members of the university in this time of intense sorrow. THe lives of those lost can never be recovered, and the lives of those left behind will never be the same. I pray that you will draw nearer to Him as individuals and as a community for the three essentials that top all knowledge known to man: faith, hope and love.
