Virginia tech has always been an important part of my life.  I met my husband while living in Christiansburg.  He had taken a job in the local area and was my neighbors boss.  When I first saw all the flags and decals people had on their cars for games, I thought they were nuts.  But we now have seasons tickets and our car is one of those with all the HOKIE stuff.

It is difficult to express my emotional response to what has happened.  It is more than a tragic event.  It’s like some one came in our home and robbed us.

But the HOKIE nation is strong and will continue on with heads high.

LETS GO HOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!

To all the families and students and staff our thoughts are with you.

I am a recent graduate of Virgina Tech I am shocked that such a tragic event could happen at a place and in a community where I spent an incredibly happy and safe five years. It deeply saddens me that today our university has made world headlines through an act of violence rather than recoginition for real academic achievement. These emotions are tempered by the pride I feel for Viginia Tech and Blacksburg - you show yourself to have great poise in the midst of a very dark shadow.  The world is watching and of you we are very proud.

My deepest regrets to the families and friends of the victims.

...To All: ... Academia, parents, current students, future students....even you who read this posting from the other side of the world…

As per Ancient Greeks, Academia has always been something very precious and unique since it is getting you closer to the center of the world: yourself through Knowledge...3 days ago this holy place was stained by the blood of all 33 people which should never been exposed to this violence and cruelty…
Apart from expressing my condolences to the specific but also the general academic community as well as to the families of those deceased, I will not burdain you from expressing my sorrow and grief as it is there among every human being...some people feel pity for those who were not given the chance to live, other feel pity for those who are left back...I feel sorrow for both…

God Bless you all students not matter where you come from, the color of your skin, your native language or your parents financial status…
May God give you all the strength and wisdom you need to start learning to live with this horrible experience you just had…

I sit here, typing with tears streaming down my face, feeling the pain that you all face. I have been to Tech and remember it fondly as a beautiful, carefree campus.  I am a mother of 6 and want to call all my kids home and embrace them.  I am so sorry for your loss and pain.  College should be a wonderful, safe time for our children. You all are in our thoughts and prayers as we all try to make sense of such sensless violence

We wish to extend our sincerest sympathy to the staff, students and families at VT.  As retired teachers, we understand the closeness and the bonds formed in a school community and how a tragedy such as this has such a profound effect.  You are remembered in our daily thoughts and prayers as you begin to try to heal.  VT should be so proud of the young people who have displayed such courage and compassion for others.

It is my prayer that God will keep all of these precious and innocent saints who have died without just cause in His loving care.  May they smile on their families forever from heaven,Amen. They will never be forgotten.  For all who believe that there is no justice, God said “vengeance belongs to me, I will repay.” It is appointed unto man to die but once, but after this, the Judgement.  For the rest of us who still remain:  “Fear not him who is able to kill the body but is not able to kill the soul, but rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.” Love God and Love one another.
