God bless- with love, a fellow college student.

The world is hurting with you during this time of sorrow and grief. Please be assured that you have friends across the land and internationally. I have close friends in Roanoke and Lynchburg, and feel a personal loss as they mourn with your entire state of Virginia. The University of Nebraska here in Lincoln is having a candlelight vigil on the 18th - “Huskers for Hokies” - as the spirit and sportsmanship of athletics and the bond of students everywhere brings us together. God Bless you All and give you strength in your time of healing.

I am very sorry for the families of the victims and everyone who was involved in the massacre. I am of the opinion that Americas weapon laws have to be worked over because history shows that there has to be done something to prevent us from these tragedies. by AKB,Germany

The Promise
by Diane Robertson

Of angel wings and heavenly things
There’s very little known,
For those who have the answers
Are, forever, from us gone.

Life in the hereafter,
In faith, I must accept;
Thoughts that trouble not the people
With families still intact.

But, those of us who’ve traveled
Down the lonely path of grief,
Are forever seeking answers
To the riddle, which is life.

We trek through shadowed forests
Past the ugly shroud of death,
Toward a promise for the future
Of a kinder, better place.

So, we look to see the angel wings
And listen for the hymn
That God will send to guide us
When we leave to be with Him.

Words cannot convey my sorrow and heartache for all of the students and staff at VT. I can empathize with all of you for I too lost 2 friends to senseless violence in my lifetime. I think of them everyday and wonder what they would have become as adults because one of my friends was 14 when he was killed and the other was 19 when she was killed. She also had a son and was pregnant when she was senselessly murdered. I know in my heart that someday this will get easier to deal with as time passes. You will not forget the students and staff that lost their lives on that awful day and they will live on in all of your hearts and minds. May God help to heal all of VT for what has happened on your beautiful campus and to your wonderful students who have shown such a resounding maturity and bravity. The have all spoken so eloquently and with such demeanor about what transpired there. I don’t think I could have even formed words. May all of you find peace and comfort in knowing that you all had been blessed with having known the ones that were lossed and the richness brought to your lives for having known them. I am and will continue to pray for each and every one of you at VT.

My deepest sympathies! Myself & a friend created a child abuse victim memorial profile on MySpace. We used what we had learned in creating that to do things in honor of those lost, those living in the Virginia Tech tragedy. Many prayer chains were sent around, bulletins posted with information about those who died, some changed their profile pictures to candles and VT graphics made. A wonderful outpouring of care and concern. A Virginia Tech Memorial has been created on MySpace, We hope some day family members, friends, students will visit and see the tributes to those killed, many people have left wonderful comments and graphics. My deepest sympathies to everyone, what an incredible college-the students, the professors, very impressive people whom I will never forget. God bless you all. Kami
