Condolences, April 18, 2007

It’s possible that God has previewed how much blood the Man would have poured towards its fellow creatures, and he do not make nothing in order to avoid it? Which father would concur with its sons that kill between they? An action of faith has asked us, without conditions, but a loving father, any thing has asked its sons, it would have yielded to their desperation! Perhaps, the averse ones exist, or the assumed “malignant genius”, without too much conviction, from Descartes… The only hope are those ignited candles and the thoughts that reach you from every part of the World… we are all survivors to this tragedy, ALL. The life on the Earth continuous without the 32 Angels, now, but we must learn in the mercy that does not yield to the rancor, we must learn the Love an other time.
With affection for everybody…

My heart felt sympathy and prayers go to the families and friends of each victim in this sad tradgedy.  Please know that while I did not know any of the young adults or the staff it still causes great sadness in my heart.  I pray that you will heal from this and emerge stronger not weaker.  There were so many bright young adults taken from us and now others will need to share in the cause they can no longer pursue.

Dear student,
I’ve been deeply touched by what has occurred on your campus.  How can I help?  I haven’t stopped thinking about you, since I heard the news on Monday.  May I drive to Blacksburg and be part of your lives, even for short time, as you reach out to heaven and each other for comfort?
I am a Christian., and the (50 yr old) youth leader of a small church 60 miles east of Buffalo, New York.
My desire is to participate in a student led prayer meeting with you. Sincerely, Mr. Chuck

Not sure who will read this at VT, I’m just little ol’ me in Upton Massachusetts...but I feel so horrible for what has happened. Your tradegy has even reached us in New England with two of your fellow students living only minutes from me. At this time we must all stand children of God, a community, a nation...a world.

May God Bless you!

No words can express the sorrow that I feel for all those involved in this tragedy.  As a parent I can only try to imagine what the families of those injured or lost are going through.  Even though words cannot comfort any of you at this time, including the student body and staff, the community, the law enforcement agents, and medical personnel; I am praying for you. My sorrow also extends to the family of the shooter, who must be devasted by the choices their loved one made.  May God comfort you at this terrible time and give you each the courage to go on.  This tragedy will never make any sense to me, your losses and pain will never be forgotten.
With care, love and deepest sympathy.

As an alumnus of Tech, I am deeply saddened by the tragedy on our campus.  Thankfully, all of our friends are safe.  We are fortunate though as so many others cannot say the same thing.  The effects of this one man’s actions reach so much farther than just West AJ and Norris.  As I sit here in my home in Maryland, I mourn the loss of gifted students, beloved teachers, and the innocence of our school.  Blacksburg IS a peaceful and beautiful oasis.  It is my second home and nothing can ever change that.

I pray that God will grant comfort to all those who are grieving and in time help them move forward.  I pray that this will serve as a way for all Hokies to come together and help each other.  I also pray for Cho’s family because I cannot imagine the anguish they feel and the responsibility that they feel for their son’s poor choices.

May God Bless Us All.

We are saddened and horrified at this incident, and are severely affected by the impact of this tragic loss of purity and innocent lives taken. We are at a loss of words as to how to convey our deepest sympathies and for the many prayers we have said over and over for the victims’ families, the VT student body, the faculty, alumni, the entire community, as well as the medical facilities, the EMS personnel, the police officers, and everyone involved in situation. Many have seen things that will forever be embedded in their memory, and many have suffered losses that can never be touched. As parents who have lost a precious child, our hearts are heavy and bleed for those parents trying to get through this horrific time. May GOD hold you in his arms and guide you to peace knowing your children are your guardian angels now forever watching over you until you can join them and hold them again in heaven. Trust in the Lord and know that if he brings you to it, he will get you through it somehow. God bless you all and know our prayers and thoughts are with you every dark hour, every tear cried, every moment spent in sorrow.

I have been watching for the past two days as the horrors of this tragedy have unfolded...If it has been this upsetiing to me as a mother sitting 2 hours away with no kids old enough to be in college yet,I cannot imagine the pain and loss that everyone who has been directly affected must be feeling. Much love to all of you and you all will be kept in our thoughts.

I am a Hokie Mom.  My son is a December 2002 graduate of Tech.  My VT flag flies proudly during football season every year.  It is flying even more proudly now.  I can’t even begin to imagine what this feels like.  My heart grieves for those who were lost and their families.  My prayers go out to everyone affected, and especially to the faculty, staff, and administration of VT.  I’m proud of this university.  Rest assured that on Friday, I will proudly wear my Hokie colors. Every day I drink proudly from my “Virginia Tech Mom” coffee mug.  I am a Hokie Mom, and more than ever, I feel like a true Hokie!

As Nikki Giovanni said yesterday, “We ARE Virginia Tech.”

< My heart is full, VT is a beautiful campus nested in the mountains of Virginia a place I would offend stop by on my way from NY to Clemson.

I would walk around the campus admiring the stone work, Landscape and chatting with students.

My thought and prayers are with all,

It’s difficult to express the sorrow we’ve felt as we’ve watched people we love, the school that we love, and the community that we love go through so much pain. Our thoughts are with those who have lost so much, and our hope is that they can find the strength to make it through. We are proud to be Hokies.
