Condolences, April 18, 2007

American people always have been there for me & my family for help, solidarity & support into my/our life/lives for generations (as members from twopeasinabucket & CK for me as for an example etc...).

You’re as my second family now.

Now I learned this, with my family, and even if I don’t know how to express correctly in english what we are feeling, and I suppose words aren’t enough into this kind of occasion,
we’d like to support you all and all our thoughts and good vibes from France are here for you, you can be sure.

You’re all into our hearts. We’ll never forget.

We send you very very very giant hugs and très très gros bisous to all of you.

We’ll always be to your side, friends.

A lot of LOVE for everyone.

Beaucoup d’AMOUR.

Rest in peace.

I wish to tell you all how sorry I am for your loss.
I had a nightmare about this incident last night and my mom got scared
And said you’re movin’ with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said “Fresh”, and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought man forget it yo homes to Bel-Air

As a Virginia Tech graduate I was horrified and shocked to hear of this.
As a Law Enforcement Officer for 22 years I was angered by the cowardly actions of one person hurting so many.
As a parent, I simply cried.
I cried a very long time!

God bless you all and you will constantly be in my prayers from this point forward.

Prezados Amigos,

As a percentage of all the matter in the entire universe, do you realize how infinitely insignificant everything that you call “you” is? Your body, your mind, the arrangement of atoms that is YOU statistically shouldn’t have happened. You could be a dust cloud in space, or a drop of frozen water on a comet. But you, among ALL of the matter in the universe cobbled together something called sentience. Do you realize how lucky you are? You won the greatest lottery in the entire history of EXISTENCE. That alone is cause for celebration. And you, feeling what I’m sure you think is a cruel and unfair punishment would cut that down after only 20-30 short years? Madness. You’re alive, that’s more than the rocks, the dirt, the dust cloud, the ice cubes, and all the other atoms floating around get. You’re more lucky than you know.

Enjoy it, whatever it happens to be, while you can; because that’s all there is and ever will be.

Our hearts grieve for all of you,it may not mean much today, but in each and every one of you, those lives lost will forever live in your hearts as you move into tomorrow. They will be the light in all of your eyes.

I have been very, very impressed with the dignity and composure of the Virginia Tech students and officials who have been interviewed by television and radio news reporters.  Your thoughtfulness, honesty and concern for others has been a wonderful reflection on you and the Virginia Tech / Blacksburg community.  Your responses have helped to prevent this tragedy from becoming a media sound bite-centered situation, which has occurred in so many other national emergencies.  Best wishes for continued healing—and please take comfort in knowing that the thoughts and prayers of millions of others are with you.

I am so proud to be a Hokie.  There is a special bond - a special Hokie pride we share - we are a family.  When this happened, I was afraid the media’s angles were going to cause splits in our family.  The students and Hokies of all ages have demostrated their love for Virginia Tech and each other by standing together. The special bond we share is now showing to the entire world. We are strong!
May God bless and be with all those who have lost love ones in this tragedy.
