My prayers go out to all the victims of this tragic incident who did not deserve to lose their lives. I cannot believe that someone would have such an idea in their mind to do something like this, something that causes devastation to plenty of people in this world. I admire the strengths of the VT students and families of lost ones getting through this ordeal, and be glad that they’re now up in a safe place. My heart goes out to you, and God bless.

Dear Virginia Tech Faculty, Staff, and Students,
I am Russ Hunter and my email is:
I wish to express my most deepest condolences upon the death of your friends. I grieve with thee. I pray that all of you can come together as a family and open up. Please don’t keep this inside. Please don’t play the “If I” game. I pray for those who were lost and their families. I pray for the one who snapped and did all this. I pray for the ones who were wounded, may they recover with good health. ALL of you are in my prayers every day, even though I do not know any of you. Please email if you feel like communicating.

God Bless You All.

Sincerely Yours,

I as well as all the faculty at Pasadena City College are sadden by what has happened to Virginia Tech. I want you all to know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers as well as all the victims and their families. This is a quote that I would like to share with everybody that is written by Flavia Weeden “Some people come into our lives and quickly go, some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.”

My greatest condolences to those who have been deeply affected by this horrible tragedy. May all the families and friends who are suffering from losses find hope, love, and faith. Let this be a time of mourning and reflection instead of expressing hateful and ignorant comments. This time should be reserved and dediated to the victims of this tragedy and their families and friends.

We have all been hit hard by reality these past few days.  As a fellow college student, where is there to hide now?  How well do we know these strangers we live with?  One year?  Two years? Four years of friendship?  It is important now more than ever to remain strong to open up to everyone, not just the small groups of friends you develop over the years.

Since 9/11, I realize how even just one person can affect the entire world.  At GWU, hundreds of people have come together to reflect on the tragedy at Virginia Tech.  We are all in this together.  No one should ever feel alone and never should we have to hide in fear.

I don’t believe in God.  I believe in people.  We will all begin to learn to treat everyone with respect and care now I hope because this is something every community seems to lack.  We all mourn the loss of loved ones as often as possible so as never to forget, but how much of a difference do YOU really make?  Reach out to your roommates today.

I have never seen such sadness ever before in my life. I am so grateful that no one I know was injured or killed. That fact, however, doesn’t keep me from feeling the overwhelming grief that is being experienced by our entire community. This has truly affected all of us, no matter our degree of involvement. I only hope we will move on and become a stronger community in the aftermath of such a horrendous event. God bless you all, my fellow Hokies. I love you!

To all the VT students faculties, and families,

I feel deep grief and sorrow because of your suffering, and needless to say, you are going through maybe the toughest time. Please remember that, God is being with you, and will be with you always. HE is the God of power, love and comfort. We are praying together here in China for all of you.

Besides, I do not know whether it is the right time to say something about forgiveness. Jesus Christ forgave the murderer who put him on the cross, and died for all of us. Jesus bless you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the victims. May the Lord guide them and give them comfort in this time of sorrow. The Bible says there is “a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” (Ecclesiastes 3:4) Everyone here at Roanoke College has Tech in their thoughts and prayers constantly. Please know that we are praying for you in your time of need and are here to support you. God bless.

What V-Tech has gone through is unimaginable.  One might say mind-bottling (a la Will Farrell from “Blades of Glory").  Please don’t take this remark as insensitive.  In this time of mourning, I just wanted to bring a brief smile on some faces, so we don’t forget to smile.  I am also college student, and now a VTech fan forever.  Go Hokies!

To the Parents, families & friends of those we have lost:

Our son is a student at Tech. We had several hours from the time we first learned of the events until we finally heard from him that he was safe; that gave us only a small taste of the fear and panic that you must have felt and the sorrow you are experiencing now as a result of this tragedy.  I have thanked God many times that our only son was safe, and at the same time, feel such guilt and sorrow that we were spared such anguish as you must now feel.  We have hope that one day, God (or whichever name fills that role for you--regardless of Who you pray to, it means the same to all of us) will reveal to everyones’ hearts and souls the main truth of the universe:  that everyone and everything is connected. Every harm to any living thing affects us all in ways that so many people do not yet understand.  I believe this is a truth that is revealed upon death...I just wish more people would see it before then.  We pray (to our God or to whichever higher authority you prefer) that your memories and your time spent with your loved ones will comfort you through this sorrow and bring you peace and joy again in the future.

April 18, 2007, 1:22am • Kilmarnock, VA • #4553

I pray that peace may be in our hearts throughout such tragic times. May we never forget what has happened and may we learn and not remain ignorant to what is really going on in our own country within our own communities.

This senseless ruthless act of violence has even touched the hearts of all Canadians at home, at work and in our Universities and schools. We cannot imagine the grief and sadness that lives within the hearts of those affected. We pray for all those affected directly and indirectly that our saviour give you the strength to carry on, whilst cherishing and living the memories of your loved ones lost.
As a Canadian I feel it is my obligation to convey this message on behalf of all Canadians.
We are one with your grief and bear your burden of sadness, if only we could turn back the clock....

Please accept our deepest and most sincere condolences.

My heart and prayers go out to everyone of you.  As I watch the news unfolding on TV my heart breaks for all involved.  What can you say in a time such as this other than if I could have taken the place of any one of the victims, I surely would have.  My life has been lived and I am satisfied, if only I had the power to bring any of them back I would.  Don’t let this destroy you but let it make you stronger.  Don’t let this make you hateful but let it make you more loving.  Don’t let this make you bitter but let it make you more forgiving.  Much love from me to you.
