Condolences, April 18, 2007

May God bless you and keep you during this time of such deep sorrow.  May He bring comfort to your soul.  May He bring strength to the families and friends of the victims.  May He hold you in the palm of His hand.  May He bring wisdom to the investigators.  May He, some day soon, bring joy back to the campus of VT.

I don’t even know where to begin… As a Radford graduate, a native Roanoker, and a Hokie-at-heart, my heart is breaking. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I could be closer at this time, but no matter the distance, I am there in heard, mind and soul.

To All Virginia Tech Faculty, Students and Community:

We are so sadden for this tragedy crisis. You’re remember and our prayer and blessing is with you all that you will find the strngth to keep you strong in this difficult time.

We lose someone we love deeply and yet the loss seems too great to bear
God sends us prayer and friends to comfort us
To show that he deeply are with you all in this time

But in the dark hours of the night
When there’s nobody else around...He is there in prayer. When we feel the saddest and loneliest
It’s there God’s love can be found to keep each of you strong and in unity.

Those we Love remain with us,
for Love itself lives on.
The love will never fade as its stay in our heart.

Those we Love can never be,
more than a thought apart,
for as long as there’s a memory,
they live on in our heart...and in our prayer.

Thinking of you all,

Marian M. Inguanzo, MSW, ACSW - Puerto Rico

My thoughts and prayer are with the people who have lost someone loved in this absurd and incomprehensible way. The whole world is mourning with you. God bless.

We know the effects of National Tragedies. People mourn and the mourning slowly wanes. No matter how much mourning we do, it can’t change the past. That’s a given. But we all know we may be able to change the future. We can channel our anger and sadness into compassion and love. Let people mourn, but to say that their love is fake and that they are the type of people that drove this madman to kill is wrong. We should never lose hope in the potential that we have as humans. We have the power to do so much wrong, but we also have the power to do so much right. This one kid killed 30+ people. I know I have the power to help and breathe life into more than 30 people. We all have that power and we can all utilize it. National Tragedies don’t have to be short-lived. If we become better because of it then those people who died will live on with us til’ the day we die. It doesn’t have to end here.

This is a nice thought copied from my space..

I live in VA and can’t even express how I hurt for all of you and the even the shooter and his family.  I couldn’t imagine if anything like would have happened while I was in college.

Just know, you don’t have to be a Hokie, or a Virginia or an American to share your grief, you only have to be human.  I cry with you, pray for you and think about you everyday.

Death is factual and we all depart this life. But some losses are for ever and a day kicked our head to pose us why it has happened. Sometime we blame a person sometime we do not have any answer. This is the one of the tragic history in the educational world where we could not find any clear answer. Why did that happen to those innocents? I can’t consider what happened in VTech that was enormously shocked me till now. I love Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania...and so on. I love community and natural beauty of these three states. VTech is one of the dream campuses for us. It is really hard to muddle through with the recent occurrence where we have lost some of our best future. It is even tougher for me even i was thousand mile far away from Virginia. I pray to those departed soul and wish to God if he could maintain those broken heart who lost their family members and friends. God bless all and VTECH.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you who have lost family, friends and mentors during this senseless act. As a proud Hokie alum, this hurts deeply but it will not keep us down. Please know that all Hokies are there with you in spirit and will continue to be with you as we all move forward. We love VT and will not let this one act label our wonderful university for years to come. The sense of love and community that you have demonstrated during this horrific time is what will continue to shine for others to see who we are. WE ARE VIRGINIA TECH!
