I am shocked at this tragic event, so hard to believe this can happen, and also so hard to comprehend how everyone must be feeling right now. I would just like to convey my sincere sympathy to anyone who has lost a loved one. I would also wish the survivors the best of luck.

I’m so sorry that this had to happen.
There is no reason for it, and we will never know why.
But just keep faith with you, and just remember that life will go on. This is just a humongous bumb in the road.
We all will get through this, it will just take time.
The country has surely learned a lesson from this. And will know what to do if this situation ever happens again.
I’m so sorry for all of your losses I truly am.
God just needed a new army of angels.

Today we are all Hokies.  Across this beautiful state of Virginia, this nation, and the world we mourn the tragic events at Virginia Tech.  My heart, love, thoughts, and my prayers go out to all of you at Virginia Tech and everyone mourning the loss of a loved one.  We will never be able to fully understand, but we can keep alive the memories of those we loved forever.  No one is ever truly gone as long as we keep our love for them alive.  We are all Hokies today...and we will carry this Hokie love in our hearts forever.

My thoughts go out to all relatives and friends who have lost loved people from this tragic and sad killing spree.
I visited the campus many times over the years and still find it difficult to grasp that something so deeply tragic has occurred at such a peaceful and tranquil place.
The easy access of guns and their use to vent anger and personal problems is a fundamental problem at source. The enemy is often within.

I wish then deceased a peaceful passing to another tranquil place after their harrowing and early exit from their living human existence. Nigel

My sincere condolences to the victims’ families, friends, students and staff of VT.

All these discussions about weapon rights, psychology of the mass murder, or ego shooter games (what we discussed after amok runs in German schools) cannot take away the pain and loss the perpetrator has inflicted.

Some people like to blame US laws and society anyway. The discussions or new laws cannot ever stop a sick brain that wants to destroy - himself and others. Only if we all value our own lives and those of others the way we should such terrible tragedies will be averted.

May god bless you and the United States.

This almost makes me furious becuase if the people that decide to go kill people would just take one second and think about what there about to do it’s unbelievable. They are taking god’s sons and duaghters LIFE’S!! just to satisfy what they think is right witch obviously isn’t right by any means. My prayers and support are all for VT right now and the victims familys and any one involed or having troubles. Timothy I totaly agree with you too. In remembrance to those lost~ VT Massacre 4-16-07 :( This will leave an impact on us all.

All of us way over here at Oregon State University were absolutely SHOCKED Monday morning - it’s really made alot of us rethink our lives - how precious it is and how much we take it for granted. I just wanted to let you know that your close and caring community has become a model for Corvallis, Oregon - the way you guys pulled everything together Monday afternoon was absolutely remarkable. Bless your hearts.

Students, we are the future!  The future of life and liberty at it’s finest.  The events taken on that day will forever stain your memmories as a horrible nightmare, but may god bless all of those who were sadly taken on that day.  The family, friends, and loved ones of those must always remember the good times they share and honor their names in every moment of life.

Dear students, victims, families, and the people of the US.

My prayers, thoughts, and condolences go out to everyone shock by the tradgy.  I wish there was some way to help and take away the pain all the victims feel.  I’m only 16 and I don’t quiet understand the story completely but I was watch the innerview’s with the shooter’s roommate’s, unquie’s and professor’s and let remind you that no one holds you at fault, nobody did anything wrong and it seems like everyone tried to help as much as possible.  Please people remember you can’t hold this against a race or where a person is from.  This could of been anyone as a victim, a shooter, or someone working at the university.  My heart goes out to everyone.

The shooting on Aprial 16th really shocked me, which turned a seemingly ordinary day into one filled with grief and pain. It’s really unbelievable. Though I am in China now, when I heard of this terrific news, I feel very shocked and grieved. The campus should be the safest place, as it always is. Life is so fragile that we lose our friends before we can realize. I am really really sorry about this whole thing, for the lost innocent lives, for the scathe and injury your university has suffered, for the family and friends that must handle with the immense grief of losing their son or daughters, neighbors or friends. I give my most sincere prayer, thoughts, and condolence for your university and for them. God will never go away, and God bless you always…

I am so saddened to hear of the horrific murders at Virginia Tech. We pray with you and for you, and for the families and friends of those murdered. The only thing I leave you with is a quote that helped me get through the murder of my friend/coworker in 2006,

“In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can’t build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery and death.” - Anne Frank
