I am huge Maryland Terrapin fan. My thoughts right now are all students at virginia tech.  I thought a suggestion have around christmas a ACC family Basketball tournament and invite whom they wish from the ACC.  The reson I say basketball it a arena with bg crowds money go made from tickets sales vendor could add a little extra to help fund VT jersey with number 32 could be sold and procede go to this fund for funding of scholarships of the victims, future money assistance to those who are injured wheter physically or emotionally. As a Maryland Terp fan which in the ACC it hurts to so brothers and sister at VT suffer like we just want to help and this is suggestion to the ACC and VT Have a section of VT football field or basketball field with the names of the victims with VT jersey number 32 and do not include the shooter on the list do even have his name mention. just let it read some derange student took the innoncent lives of our 32 student and injured many more may the victims be in our memories and heart and the shooter just forget about him let him get no recongnition

You are not forgotten loved one
Nor will you ever be
As long as life and memory last
We will miss thee.
We will miss you now
Our hearts are sore
As time goes by
We miss you more
Your loving smile
Your gentle face
No one can fill your vacant place.

I was so impressed by the grace of the Virginia Tech community, the students that were survivors expressing forgiveness and the parents who lost their precious children.

Their is no need to search for Grace.  These individuals are Grace.

There are no words to say except God bless you all.  As a teacher for 28 years, I can say the loss of these beautiful young souls is nothing less than catastrophic.  The web of grief that has been cast is beyond my comprehension.  I am praying for families, survivors, faculty, rescue and comfort workers of every kind.  The souls of these precious victims are in Heaven, at peace, with no more fear and perfect understanding.  What a tragic waste.  What a nightmare.  God bless us with His peace that passes understanding - in His good time. Hokies and all who love them, you have the nation and the world each praying in their way for all of you.  God bless.  Cathy

As a mother of a college student in California, my heart broke for all the raw emotion I saw on TV.  I just wanted to hold and hug my daughter at this time but she is away. Coping with the ups and downs of being a student is hard enough and then this. I was in awe of how the Virginia Tech students conducted themselves but as a parent, knew how your hearts were aching.  Please know that I care about everyone’s sons and daughters affected by this horrendous act of violence.  And to the parents and the families, my heart breaks for you.  I wish you love and strength to face the upcoming difficult days.  Please know that everyone young and old, rich or poor have you in our thoughts.

We have been keeping and compiling a list of those who were victims of this Virginia Tech shooting here:- in the description to the top right for those who want to know if their friends or relatives were one of the victims.  It is a very sad moment in time as we found out that a fellow Canadian Jocelyne Couture-Nowak from Truro Nova Scotia and a native of Montreal was also a victim.  We want to keep all of them and their families in our prayers.  David and Charmaine

To Those I Love
If I should ever leave you whom I love
To go along the Silent Way, grieve not,
Nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk
Of me as if I were beside you there.
(I’d come-I’d come, could I but find a way!
But would not tears and grief be barriers?)
And when you hear a song or see a bird
I loved, please do not let the thought of me
Be sad .... For I am loving you just as
I always have ... You were so good, to me!
There are so many things I wanted still
To do --- so many things to say to you ...
Remember that I did not fear ... It was
Just leaving you that was so hard to face ...
We cannot see Beyond.. But this I know:
I loved you so - ‘twas heaven here with you!

God bless the families who lost their loved ones in this tragedy, they are never forgotten. All of you are in our prayers.

Dear VT Community,

We are all compelled to think how Big or Small was our collective loss.

Most of us has Lost a Beginning to a New World, like the Beautiful and Innocent Souls that has Departed Us. Whatever be the Cause The Loss throws us into deep Anguish, Condemnation, Fear, Grief, Hatred, Pain and Shame, which, it should not.

Should We hold to the Grief, We loose our Meaning to Existence, but if We let it pass, each Loss provides us another opportunity. Grief trains the mind to be Mature. Maturity helps to Enlighten Ourselves. When we resist to Mature, We forget to Learn. Where there is No Learning there is No Growth. And if there is No Growth, We Lose the Everything.

Change is Imminent in the World. So we are bound to loose nothing, even the Precious Lives Lost.

Lets us Pray for the Family and Friends, for there is no Greater Deed that can be Done NOW.

Love & Peace,
