To all the families, friends and fellow students.  My deepeset condolences, and most heartfelt prayers.  I know there is nothing that can be said that would help you heal or understand this tragedy, but I at least wanted to say that I share in your pain.  May God bless you all, and may we all have forgiveness in our hearts towards this person who obviously was much more than just troubled.  To all those who have left this life as a result of this, may you rest in peace.  D. VT students, faculty and family

My heart breaks for you all. My son is 13 yrs old and I cannot imagine the greif.I will never understand all the “why’s” but the Lord says
“ Lean not on your own understanding..”
I am soo very proud of all the students I have seen interviewed. VT - even in this time - you have a lot to be proud of!! I have been soo deeply touched by what has happened and by the way you have handled yourselves.
I will tell you like I tell my own son- Never take life for granted, tell the people you love that you love them and never, ever rob anyone of a smile .Sometimes that’s all someone needs.

A very good friend of mine passed last year - he always told me “ This world is not my home, I am only passing through” and it wasnt until he was gone that I realized the significance of what he made the pain of losing him a little easier ( he was my mentor) when I realized that he really was in a better place and he knew it all along...he was going home.
We all leave footprints in this life...Stamped impressions on the soul that last forever. Your friends and loved ones will never be forgotten.

May the Lord bless all of you and may you find peace and comfort in God and in each other.

I just want to say to everyone at Virginia Tech that I am deeply sorry for what you are having to endure right now.  I can’t imagine how you all must feel, but I want you to know that every single one of you are in our thoughts and prayers here in the Orebank Community of Greeneville, Tennessee.  Those that lost their lives will never be forgotten.  It’s going to take time for you to recooperate from such a tragedy, but always remember that you’ll be in our hearts here. May God be with you and your families and the families of those that are not with us anymore. God bless you all.

In sorrow we cannot define the lack
that’s left in all.
In misery a clear and narrow vision does not emerge, nor does a perspective, entrenched in mourning, bring about a sullen peace.
It is only in the fondest we can reside in times like these, when stunted giggles flash through tears and the image of a happier day resurfaces.

May all your pools of memory boil with the richness these dear folks gave to you and yours. And may you savor, undefiled, the sweetness of a life more lived than lost.

The question that haunts is the question of “Why?” When we lose someone through natural causes, we understand that loss even while we hurt.  But the events of April 16th?  How does anyone make sense of that kind crime against humanity - against us?  Certainly I don’t have those answers, but I can say that there are many trying to piece that information together, even while the events unfold.  This is not the first such crime, and until we understand the whys, they will continue to haunt and hurt us.  With that, can I offer that perhaps sometime in the near future, some answers will be forthcoming?  Answers that will at least help take the rough edges of the seering pain and void it leaves behind?

Take care as well as you can of yourselves and loved ones.

My heart and prayers are with the families, students, and faculty touched by this tragedy. You cannot know how many times throughout the day my thoughts have drifted to you.  The actions of the heros in those classrooms whom we have begun to learn about and those whom we do not yet know are inspiring beyond words. Though always an Arizona Wildcat, I, too, am now a Hokie.

I am truely sorry for the pain and sorrow that has overcome your university and your life since the tragic event. I can’t imagine what the parents are going thru to learn that their child has been killed by such awful means. I have a poem that I would like to share with everyone and I hope that it brings atleast some comfort to your hearts.

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.

May God bless you all and help you deal with everything your going thru.

Please save the best of what you lost in your friends, teachers, sons and daughters. Carry with you always their laughter, their passion, their youthful hopes and dreams.  They were a priceless gift in your life for such a brief moment.  If tears could save them, they would still walk with us because you do not weep alone.  You don’t know us, but our hearts ache for you, our hearts pray for you.  The Carpenter Family

To all those affected by Virginia Tech Massacre:
Words will never express or compare to the loss and the shock that came over you when tragedy struck on April 16, 2007.  Mothers, Sisters,Brothers, Fathers, Sons, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Grandmothers, Grandfathers alike all have someone that went to Virginia Tech and now are dealing with grief.  Look to GOD for HE has all the answers. Let HIM lead you to the LIGHT.
For those of us that are parents, sisters, brothers, cousins, grandparents, aunts or uncles, Pray for those who are in need of our support and lend an ear to listen and a shoulder for them to cry.  We all need to show our support and our love to those that need it most now more than ever.
For those of us in Albert Lea, MN we will be praying for you all and will have you in our hearts as you grieve for the ones that you love are now in HEAVEN.

This is such an unfortunate tragedy and the whole country is crying with you.  I think the most important thing to take away from an event like this is to never take life for granted.  Those 32 students did not wake up on Monday knowing it would be their last.  Tell the people you love how you feel often and make the most of life while you have it.  May God watch over and bless all of the victims, their family, friends, and everyone who has been affected.

We are in Sandy Springs, GA. and do not know anyone at VT but do wish to convey to you all that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We have been touched by the students and faculty and how they have united together as yet an even greater family. The outpouring of prayers throughout the world will remind us all of how precious humanity and life itself really are. May we all pray to our God and ask for yet greater strength, understanding and the ability to cope with the losses. In days ahead we all shall carry on, perhaps not quite the same as we were, but hopefully with a greater sense of life, goodness and love in our hearts and minds. May God be with you and grant you courage, love and peace

The pain you experience today may be more then you can possibly bear,
The Nation hopes that through these tough times you will be able to share.
Able to share with others your pain, your sorrow, your despair;
Although we can never understand, please know that we will always be here.
We will be here to pray for you,and to help in any way we can.
This has showed us that although we may try, we never know our ultimate plan.
Don’t lose Faith in a life full of promise and people full of good.
We all wish we just understood.
Understood why some have so much hate, so much pain, and such sadness,
While others have unending love to share and so much happiness.

In these unbearable days, weeks and months ahead, lean on each other.
Gain strength from positive relationships and make sure to stay in contact with all of those who mean the world to you.
We have lost many friends and relatives(including my mother and Mike’s father) all to soon.  Although we have this in common my friends, we have never experienced the horror that you have had to experience this week.  Please take care of yourselves and each other.  God Bless you.

To the families that have lost their loved ones and to the students who have lost a fellow Hokie, we send our love and our prayers to each and every one of you. To the Hokie nation from a Terrapin family, we stand with you today and everyday and will remember each and every one of you in prayer. There are no offerings that we can bring to you as to why this person changed the lives of so many people with his acts of violence, we can only bring hope, love and God to you in your time of need. Stand together, all races, religions, and social status. Stand as one and you will be strong. This Terrapin family loves you and cares deeply for you in your time of sorrow. Be strong, be united and know you are loved. Dale, Linda, Michael & Candace
