First, I want to say that I am deeply sadened by this horrific tragedy that took place. As parents choosing to bring children into this world, it is our responsibility to ensure they receive as much attention and love at all times. We are the strength, wisdom, courage and confidence that our children need to grow and succeed. If we let them believe we do not care and we are not aware, then their hearts & minds will suffer. I wish that God could have helped this lost soul see that life is a gift from he himself. Please accept our prayers and condolences.

Dear Virgnia Tech, my sincere condolences.

I grew up from a happy family of success and admiration.  But recently, my mother died after a 3 year battle with lung cancer.  When my Mom was diagnosed, my Dad died of a sudden stroke.

I spent a lot of my time questioning how my life and family changed forever, but I found few answers.  One day I decided to stop the questioning, and somehow it made me feel peace and continue to have a happy life.

I hope the peace I found, reaches you soon.

The ripples of sadness and sorrow reached many people all over the world when they heard the tragic news from VA TECH. The school holds a special place in my heart; it was my first home in the US after having come from lebanon in 1992. The incident feels like someone has violated my home personally.

You are all in our prayers. God rest all the victims souls in peace.

My husband was a student at VT and I was an employee of VT for 3 years. We are so saddened by what occurred on campus on April 16. We loved living in Blacksburg and being a part of VT and can’t believe something like has happened in such a safe community. We are so proud of how members of the Blacksburg and VT communities have come together to remember those that were lost in the tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.

I am an American by birth. Korean by heritage. And a Christian by choice.

With the passing days and hours, the emerging details of the identity of the killer pains me and offends me.

With the grief that settles on me like a fog that refuses to lift, in the murkiness of mixed emotions, I pray and ask our Father to bring healing to your campus and our nation and to all the families involved. God bless you. God bless America.
