We all must understand, in this day and time; we are not safe from anything. Our schools, our jobs, our communities are all becoming unsafe. My heart goes out to each and every person that has to deal with this terrible sorrow for the rest of their lives. May you go on healing a little more each day and may our lord give you the strength to go on living. People, we need to come together and help one another. If you know of someone that has depression/sadness, stress, anxiety; please! get them some help. This vicious cycle will continue if we don’t get involved. Bless our nation and all who was touched by this tragedy.

Our community can not begin to express our condolences to all students and families of Virgina Tech. I also pray for the Cho’s parents. They would also be going through hell right now, the same as the victims parents but remember that his parents are humans too and im sure are sorry beyond anything for what has happened.

Dear Virginia Tech Community
It was with horror that I watched on TV and saw the effects of a crazed gunman.May the powers that be give you strength to carry on.May the powers that be help your families and the family of the gunman as well.I was so impressed by the students and their ability to express themselves in such an articulate manner.I was also impressed by the support received by the community. It sounds like Virginia Tech is a special place going through a very rough time.  ANITA LEWIS

I feel sorry for what happened. It is terrible. I am a student in San Francisco and now I realize how our lives can change in an instatnt. That morning all the victims woke up, went to their classes or jobs and never thought that it would be the last thing they would do. I feel very sad for what happened and we are keeping the VT community in our prayers. Now the victims are in heaven, and I know that they want to see us strong. GOD BLESS everyone.

My sympathy goes out to all who are affected by this tragedy. I have read through some of the stories behind these victims and it just makes me wonder, How much have we lost as a society? Virginia Tech is a great place and many great people will rise up and pick up where these individuals left off. God Bless

I grew up in Salem, Va and the VT community was very strong around me. Although I was never a big Hokie fan I attended many sporting events with friends and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. A number of students I went to high school with attend Tech and upon news of the tragedy I immediately prayed not just for them, but for your whole community. I am now a student at Clemson University and although we are ACC Rivals I am deeply saddened by these events. Please know that all of my thoughts and prayers are with you and I look forward to being home this summer and experiencing the great community that is Blacksburg. -Ellen

It is unbelievable that someone with such tragic thoughts can do such a thing to innocent human beings. Why Virginia Tech? As a former Tech student, I am on my knees everyday since I heard this horrendous news. May the Almighy God be with those families directly affected and heal their wounds.

To everyone in the Virginia Tech family,
It is hard for me to imagine all the pain that you are going through after this tragic event.  I wanted to let you know that all of us throughout the country are praying for you at this difficult time.  Many of us have never been to Virginia Tech or graduated from different colleges.  But at this time we all feel like we are Hokies.  You are all in my thoughts everyday.

Sometimes in life we get upset
We fear for the next
And we even fret
We hope forever to be happy again,
We long for even,
Just one friend
The sadness we feel sits deep in our soul
Growing so strong everyday
We wander around feeling all alone
With the longing inside that grows stronger each day
for just one friend to come my way
If someone would know me
To like what they see
It would boost me up
And make me feel free
My personality is fine
If given a chance,
It’s not what’s on the outside,
But what’s on the inside that counts.

deepest sympathy....!

I’m extremely sorry for the loss Virginia Tech has endured because of one person’s inability to cope with life’s hardships. In life, everyone has hardships, it’s the process we take in getting through them that makes us stronger people at the end of the day. I saw “we” because although I’m located at west end of the U.S., I believe every American felt this blow today. Obviously, Cho Seung-Hui could not bear it and decide to burden it upon the unfortunate few and that is the most saddening part of this tragedy. Although I do not believe in heaven or hell, the notion of evil seems universally fit for Cho Seung-Hui. I’d like to thank the people at Virgina Tech for raising awareness across all U.S. college campuses, in hopes a tragedy like this can be avoided in the future. May all your thoughts, prayers, and wishes be heard.
