My heart goes out to all of you. Although I have not had this experience, I can imagine this happening at my highschool. I dont know if this could have been prevented but I think we should start making our schools, colleges and universities much, much safer or this will continue to happen.

My heart breaks for your losses. So many attempts to steal beauty, steal strength, steal innocence and love and goodness. But as the Phoenix rises from the flames so too will all the amazing qualities, beliefs, passions and all contained in and embodied in the beautiful souls that left from our physical view Monday or feel forever shattered or changed by the events they were forced share in. All of you will continue to teach and touch lives so deeply; so dearly.

I do not live in Virginia nor do I know anyone attending VT, however I was deeply sadden upon hearing of the horrific events that took place on your campus Monday morning. We will never understand how one person can cause some much pain and why he did so, but please find faith and strength in knowing that God is with all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected in this horrible tragedy. Stay strong.

Dear Students, Faculty, Staff and Families,
I cannot fathom what you are going through.  I am a recent college graduate from a four-year college and a non-traditional student, so I thought I should send you this sympathy note.  I pray for all of you that God will continue to give you stength as the hours, days, months and years pass.
I gained many friendships with people I went to classes with as well as gained friendships with many of the faculty as well as the staff.
Again, I am truly sorry and I wish all the best.  I wish I could do something to help ease your pain and sorrow.  God Bless You All, Lynnette M.

My heart goes out to the Viginia Tech community.  This is a very sad and tragic event that no one should ever have to expierence.  My prayers are with the injured, may you heal quickly.  And my thoughts are with the families and friends of the lives that were lost, may they live in your hearts forever.  I would like to end this with a thought very near to my own does not end when loved ones leave this world, their souls soar on and will be by our sides to guide and watch over us until we can be with them again.  My sincere condolences...Megan M.

I am so saddened by this tragedy.

What I will take away from this is that one man has the power to kill 32 people, destroy countless other lives in the process, and affect everyone in one nation, many in other nations, all in a matter of hours. ONE MAN had that power. EACH OF US has that power. Let us all use this experience to realize the great power we possess, to not be asleep to it any longer, and to use it to create happiness, peace, abundance and love. Amen.

I am in England, and I tried to think of something to write that could be of any use.  I couldn’t think of anything, so I made up this poem.  I hope it expresses our sympathy for you. I can only try to imagine how you all must be feeling.  The greatest sympathy, love & respect to you all, and to the friends and family of those taken from us.

If my words in the poem below help just 1 person for 1 minute, then so be it.  Take care everyone x

It happened all so suddenly,
No word or warning came,
There are no words inside of me
To explain this pain.

Taken from this world that day
Unfair and undeserved
If only we could find a way
To help you all return

You never got to say goodbye
But I hope you all could see
How much you are so dearly loved
From now to eternity

Forever there will be a light
That shines for all of you
Never will the ache respite
This much we know is true

I hope you all can find your peace
Wherever you may be
And maybe one day, we will too
We can only wait and see.

For now we have to say goodbye
As there’s nothing left to say
But Forever we will wonder why
You were taken on that sad day.

I would like to send my deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers to the families who have lost loved ones. I would also like to send my thoughts and prayers to ALL the students.

O Lord, I am torn up with grief.
I know you are there, but I cannot see past
my sorrow and tears.
Be with me, Lord, and do not take
my unhappiness to heart.
Rather, work within me to guide me through
these dark days
and bring your light to my life,
so that I may see your goodness, even in my mourning.

I listened to the events at VTech unfold Monday on the radio as I drove across country. I was horrified when the death toll went from 1 to a “ballpark” figure of 20. Then as the day went on into night, the death toll rose again, with a final cont of 33 including the “lost soul” who brought this on the VTech Community, and really, to the world..........words failed me Monday when I tried to reason with the shock and horror of it all, and words still fail me now,2 days later.
I pray for everyone effected all around this country, and ask that everyone else do the same. I feel like VTech is my neighbor, since I live about an hour away. Shock..........fear for my kids safety....if this can happen at Vtech, this can happen anywhere, even in my small town. God bless you all, and I hope you will be able to let your light shine in these dark days.

May God bless each and everyone.
