Sincere condolences to the families’ friends and the Virginia Tech community.

The world is in shock. The most important thing is to protect our young and academic communities at all cost for they are the future of our country.

These things have happened and will continue to happen. Law enforcement must implement a standard operational procedure for ALL schools and Universities and these procedures must have violence of action. It’s time for the “sheepdogs” to protect the “sheep”. It’s time for the attackers to believe that they will not survive. If I sound aggressive I apologise emotions are still running strong but my feeling will never change.

For the strong. So many people are thinking of you, feeling for you, and praying with you.
For the administration...if you did your best, that’s all you can do.
For the 26,000+ VTech community, alumni and what you can to help those who need it most, turn to those you love and make sure they know it.
For the world...what are we coming to?

To all VT Students and faculity,
God Bless you and keep you safe.

One hand
Reaches out
And pulls a lost soul from harm
While a thousand more go unspoken for
They say what good have you done
By saving just this one
It’s like whispering a prayer
In the fury of a storm

And I hear them saying you’ll never change things
And no matter what you do it’s still the same thing
But it’s not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me

This heart
Still believes
The love and mercy still exist
While all the hatred rage and so many say
That love is all but pointless in madness such as this
It’s like trying to stop a fire
With the moisture from a kiss

And I hear them saying you’ll never change things
And no matter what you do it’s still the same thing
But it’s not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me

As long as one heart still holds on
Then hope is never really gone

I hear them saying you’ll never change things
And no matter what you do it’s still the same thing
But it’s not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world we know
Never changes me

What I do is so
This world will know
That it will not change me

To the entire faculty/staff and student body at Virginia Tech I send love, prayers and encouragement to each and everyone of you.  As an employee of UAA/Kodiak College Campus I cannot imagine the pain and suffering you all are feeling today, but know that I lift you up in prayer to our heavenly father that will carry you today and always in your pain and sorrow.  May you feel his covering and comfort.  When Christ left this earth, he left us with his Holy Spirit to comfort us.  He also provided us with the covering and ministry of his angels.  I pray today and always that you will sense and be strengthened by all his many comforts and his all-embracing love.  With sympathy, and love to you all in Christ.  Debbie UAA/Kodiak College

My thoughts and prayers goes out to your school at this most tragic time. I have a daughter who is a away at college and I feel your pain and sorrow.

Please consider removing the posting below as it only begs for more anger, condemnation, and retaliation--the same such feelings acted out by Cho Seung-Hui, who obviously was seriously ill. Let his rage not ignite further acts of violence. I implore VT to do the right thing and to bring a sense of calm and peace to this matter.

My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to all directly affected by this senseless tragedy. I am one who believes in a heaven and a hell and I truly believe that Cho Seung-Hui is on his way to hell right now. Go Hokies!

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord Our God.
They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.

Save, Lord!
May the King answer us when we call.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow;
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much;
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seems all too brief;
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

I have never been to Virginia Tech, but my heart and condolences go out to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy. Only a few years removed from completing my undergrad degree, I remember my university days as the best four years of my life. A time of self-discovery, intellectual curiosity, and making lifelong memories with lifelong friends.

What makes this tragedy only that much more heartbreaking is that so many of the victims are people who were in the midst of the best years of their youth, and will never see the completion of that, nor the realization of their potential.

Likewise, it is equally tragic to those left behind to have such an important and incredible period of their life stained forever by one disturbed individual who selfishly took his misguided anger at life out on 32 innocent people, and their family and friends.

As President Bush said earlier today, let us not forget the lives the fallen lead, nor the lives they would have lead. May the loss of their lives inspire us to treasure each and every day we have, and to make the most of our potential.

Do your best to comfort your brothers and sisters; the best way to heal is to help others heal. This is the best advice I have to offer, since I’ve had no experience that would allow me to provide a proven route to recovery. But at the very least, even if I cannot do anything to lessen your pain, you have my deepest sympathies.
