Condolences, April 18, 2007

I want to let everyone over there know that my prayers are with you, and not to let this horrible event tear you away from chasing your dreams of getting the amazing education that Va Tech provides for you. Keep in mind that no one wants anything but for you to move on and prove yourself to the world that you can rise above all of this and keep strong.
It’s amazing to see how everyone came together as a family. That is the best support anyone can get, is a big stong family to support you. Keep it strong, even after this event fades over time, keep that stong family aspect with you. Carry the victims and their families with you, and use that to make yourself a stronger person.
Once again, you are in my prayers. You are all inspiring and i just wanted to thank you for being the family that you guys are

To us, all over the world, we will remember him forever. Let us not forget the victims… totally innocent. An utter tragedy and I surely will not forget. I hope and prey that all the friends and family of the victims find peace and remember that time can heal all wounds. God bless you all!!

The greatest consolation to come of this senseless tragedy is the solidarity that this great nation (as well as the world) displays in times like these. It is also very shameful that it takes times such as these to bestir such emotions. Let’s work extremely harder to understand one another, communicate better, and come together as a people to truely honor our slain brothers and sisters as they so richly deserve. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone effected by this catastrophe.

I am personally deeply saddened. We cannot ask why. But we can ask how. May all those who mourn friends and family receive strength and courage to bear this irreparable colossal loss. May the rest find same to support them. May we all learn something of life and seek more to help hurting people around us.
May such incidence never be repeated ever in the great U.S. and on the surface of the earth. Amen.

I want to express my deapest heartfelt sorrow for all of the students, faculty, friends and families affected by this horrible act.  I have to admit that my first thought was how bad we felt in Killeen, Texas, when we were faced with this same type of unexplainable evil.  I think the best thing you all can do in this time is to share, your thoughts, your anger, your love.  And talk as much as you need to, and pray.  Your loved ones will always be with you.

Gone But Not Forgotten

Don’t think of them as gone away
Their journey’s just begun
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one
Just think of them as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years
Think how they must be wishing
That we could know, today
Now nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away
And think of them as living
In the hearts of those they touched
For nothing loved is ever lost
And they were loved so very much

Bless you all - Laura V.
