VT students, family, and faculty, when you go through rough times just know that God is watching over you and he cares.  I may not know you but you are definitely in my heart.  I will continue to pray for you.  Be strong and know that someone is praying.  These last few nights I lie in bed not able to sleep wondering how a young man can have so much evil.  This tragedy has affected me deeply.  I realized how life is so precious and that at any second it can be taken away.  I try to put myself in your shoes but I know I will never be so brave and courageous.  The hardest part is moving forward.  With the help of my prayers, my family’s, and my church I know you can move forward and look towards the future.

God Bless VT, students, family, and faculty

It was a sad day when Virginia Tech broke the record for the deadliest civilian shooting incident in the US.  Let’s pray that this record is never broken and that we are all more vigilant with our laws and with our surroundings.  To those that have lost someone dear… we are sorry and share in your grief.  Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers

“We are a little better than we think.. yet not quite what we want to be…. We are Virginia Tech.”

From reading the website it looks like Cho is still alive?! It is very sad what has happened, very distrubing and shocking. I am a college student myself from Canada. Nothing like this should happen. Average people’s lives were taken, and it should never have happen. If you see any acts of hates or depression never take it lightly. To all of the families, friends, staff, professors, alumni of Virginia Tech and to the entire state of Virginia god bless!!

Peace be with each and everyone of you.

All of love to everyone,

Stephanie H

It’s a shame that it takes something like this to remind us not to sweat the small stuff. Thoughts, prayers and hearts are with VT. I know many students there and have visited often. It’s hard to put words to this.

I do know one thing ... Virginia Tech is such a profound and tight knit community, I know they will prevail and I know they will rise above this. It’s a school of amazing students. Amazing students who will greive, cope and rise above the hateful things that occurred.

Stay strong hokies. We are all behind you.

There are no words to comprehend this gruesome , horrific senseless act towards our society. We are overwhelmed with questions, trying to find answers hopping to understand how could something like this happen and why? Needless to say, there will never be a right answer to justify this degrading cruel tragedy. However, unity, love and forgiveness may offer some comfort and strength to endure and cope with your loss. So many precious lives were taken away. Somebody’s brother, sister, mother, father, son, daughter and friend. Lives have been changed forever. Your pain is our pain. You are not alone! We mourn with you.  Our deepest condolences to all the families and friends who are grieving. Your love ones will forever live in our memories and hearts.....

A life is so precious. No life of an innocent human being should ever be cut short.

I’m currently a high school sophomore and definitely looking forward to my college years, and I expect so much to be able to succeed in the future. And on behalf of Savanna High School, we send our condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the victims and their loved ones.

This tragedy has taught us so much. You can never let someone fool you, even if it’s just fun and games, because you will end up losing in the game, yourself.

May the victims rest in peace, and for those who are lucky - it may be difficult to move on at the moment, but keep in mind that we’re always here for you.

there are no words, i know, that can comfort you at this time. i would like to ask of the students to honor your classmates, not through anger or sorrow, but by your success; reach for your dreams and achieve your goals, because in doing that, all the dreams of your classmates will not go unfulfilled. to the professors, try that much harder in assisting your students to reach their goals, because this will honor your fallen colleagues. you are in the hearts of everyone around the world and you will remain in mine forever…

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.*
Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom.*
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and
we are never, ever the same.**

Dear Dr. Steger and University Faculty, Staff, and Students:

There is no way you could have prevented one manic’s determination to wreak heartache. Please do not let the media hype pull you down. We have read and watched extensive coverage of the event and come away with the distinct impression that Virginia Tech is the most beloved, excellent, spirited university ever.

As our son, a student of Santa Clara University, says admiringly, “That’s one hell of a school!”

God bless your Hokies!
