I am so sorry for all your losses. I do know God has a plan for everyone’s lives.
Jer 29:11-13
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
May you find peace and rest in our Lord while you go through your grieving process.

To EVERYONE who have lost someone at VT on that terrible day. There are no words to convey our sympathy at the losses. There are sooooo many. I have read many of the condolences with tears streaming down my face and I am compelled to express ours. I noticed a common thought, the love we feel for each other AND THE NEED TO TELL YOU that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. People all around the world are with you. Be strong and remember only the good times you shared. They are irreplacable.

Dear Students,Teachers,Faculty,and Families:

Words can’t even describe how I feel inside. When I first heard what happened, I was in shock. I kept saying to myself...this can’t be true, this can’t be true. Every day that goes by, I am sick to my stomach because I just don’t understand how someone could perform such a horrific act. My thoughts, prayers, and soul go out to everyone that is involved in some way. I pray every day that we, as Hokies, stay strong and united because it is the only way that we can get through this. Love and togetherness is such a powerful force that can make a difference in our community.

I also want to say that I am a 2005 graduate of Virginia Tech and I AM PROUD TO BE A HOKIE! With everything that has occurred, I would not want to be an Alumni of another school. VT was my home for 4 years and it will always be my home and in my heart no matter where I live or what happens.

To the families and friends of the victims...stay strong and always believe in your hearts that your child or your friend is with you always and forever.

God Bless

I was at work when I saw on the news about what happened at Virginia Tech.  My heart wasn’t in my work the rest of the day.  My heart was with all those involved in this horrible situation.  I can tell you that my prayers are with all the students, staff, their family, and friends.  I can only imagine what it is like to there that day. I don’t think that anything I can say will make it better just know from the messages on this site that the world is with and mourns with you.  May God bless you all.

My heart is broken.  I look back to my senior year in college 40 years ago and I remember the love and respect I had for my professors, the warmth of my good friends, my first love.  I am so sorry that when you look back at your college days, 40 years from now, this tragedy will be there.  My heart is broken for you.  May you be granted the courage and grace to live out the rest of your lives in peace.

VT students, faculty, family, and are in out thoughts and prayers.

April 18, 2007, 7:59pm • Columbus, GA • #21699

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the victims, the students and faculty terrorized by the event, and to the law enforcement, EMS, and fire personnel who responded to this horrific incident.

It has been tough for us, too.  In addition to being my Alma Mater (1983), I’m an alumni member of the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad, Blacksburg is my wife’s home town, it is where my son was born, and where many of my wife’s relatives work.  My daughter almost went to VT, and this year she is a Senior English major (as was the shooter).  This whole thing was too close to home for us and it has really affected us, so we can only imagine what it must be like for you.

Hang in there - let that Hokie spirit keep you strong!

This tragedy could have happened on any college campus. Being a college student myself the impact of what has happened has hit me and all my peers extremely hard. The students of VT no doubt know that they are not alone, and that we will all get through this together.
