Unfortunately, these type of situations keep repeating themselves in the U.S. and Canada, and other parts of the world.  It makes me feel really sad and angry that this happens.  In an ideal world our children should be safe in their schools.  My heart and prayers go out to the teacher and students at VT....Rachelle

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

“LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me.”

The LORD replied:
“My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you.”

My sincere condolences to family and friends of all of those who lost their lives in this tragic event. To all the Virginia Tech Community: you’re in my thoughts and prayers! God bless you!

After hearing about, reading about and watching things on the recent tragedy at Virginia Tech, I am in total disbelief. There is never an excuse that justifies going out and shooting 32 innocent people. I will never be able to understand why human beings are still so prejudice, hateful and harmful to fellow human beings. We are all here to make something of ourselves, have fun, be happy, and live life.

My sympathy goes out to all the Viriginia tech students, staff, and families of the 32 that has been killed.

To all those Monday’s gunfire touched in anyway,
There is no word for the emotion I feel, and I fear the words I post here will do little for those who read this. However; I will thank God for any comfort my condolences provide to those who read this.
I am a student at a university much like yours, although its population is a mere fraction of Virginia Tech’s. I would find it insulting to say that I know how you all feel - I was not there and what I feel, though strong, is little in comparison I am sure. Monday evening I called my home, the homes of my dearest friends, and my dearest friends themselves to let them all know how much I love them.  Today, I write you to let you know that I am sharing that love with you. Please, continue to look to eachother for comfort. Do not let go of eachother and do not give up hope.  Stay strong and beautiful and march on, and Cho’s true goal will not have been met. Keep your friends and colleagues in your heart and they will not truely die. Remember, those we love and loved us never really leave us. I send here my deepest sympathies to the friends and families of all who died, and to Virginia Tech. GO HOKIES!
