Please know that each & everyone who has been affected by this horrific tragedy is in my thoughts & my prayers. The following is a poem I wrote & I wanted to share it with you. God Bless.

As you sit & watch the events unfold
So many stories are being told

Could it have been prevented this tragedy
The answers to that we remain to see

Virginia Tech does not want to be known as a bad place
The healing will take time & be at a slow pace

It could have happened to anybody & anywhere
Such feelings of sadness that are so hard to bare

Rocks were placed for each person that was lost
Some are heroes & saved lives at any cost

Together they will stand, rise up & not sit
There is still good you just need to look for it

Today the question to be answered is why
But I have faith that the legacy they will defy

My Heart Goes Out to the Victims And their Families, May God Comfort them in Their Time of Need

April 18, 2007, 6:55pm • Hudsonville, Michigan • #20516

To all those who grieve,
You feel so alone even though thousand grieve with you, please know this.  Know that with every bad thing that happens, comes good.  Seek God’s wisdom and it will be revealed.  I made a promise to myself after the shootings at Columbine, to kiss my kids everyday as if it were Columbine, I live with that promise everyday. So all who read this Kiss Your Kids as if it were Columbine, let them know before you let them go, live it!  Take comfort in knowing, parents and children grow closer because of this tragedy.  My sympathies to one and all, May God comfort you.

I was not able to gather my thoughts earlier today in order to answer a cameraman from Philadelphia.  He asked why I came to the memorial site on the drillfield in front of Burruss Hall.  I came to say goodbye, to mourn; I came for closure, for comfort; I came with hope to nurture a deeply felt grief.
He asked for my thoughts and feelings.  My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their loved one.  My feelings are sorrowful.
He asked why I brought my daughter with me.  She is my inspiration.
Thank you to all of the Emergency Response Personnel, Administration and Law Enforcement Officers.

We will not forget the victims of 4-16-2007.

Celebrate the lives of those you’ve loved and lost.  Celebrate the way each person touched your lives, even if only indirectly.  Take comfort in knowing that others share your pain.  Find strength within yourselves to rise above this tragedy.  Know that there is always hope, and that grace will always be bestowed on those who need it.

Keep the lights within burning brightly.

Prayer is one of the best gifts we receive.  May today there be peace within.  May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.  May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.  May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let His presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

Dear Students and Teachers.
Everyone will say the same thing for you all and I will do also.  Our Lord Jesus Christ will be with you in your time of need.  I am praying for all the families that were affected in this horrific event.  Hopefully with all the information that we will learn from this individual and other sick individuals that have done crimes like this, we will be able to prevent this in the future.  Everyone sees the symptoms and knows what people like this are capable of doing, so we must stop it before it happens again.  Something has to change!!  This individuals need serious help before another tradigy happens again.  Go to your congress so our laws will be changed.  Again, my families prayers are with everyone at VA Tech.

We love you.
