I don’t think that anything i say can help cure the pain that you all feel. I simply hope that you know that we pray for you. The innocents who died won’t be forgotten nor will the pain ever be less. You never get over a situation like learn to live from it. I wish you all the best and may GOD BLESS every fallen soul and all those who survive them in their heart.

My thoughts are with you - it’s a tragedy. I find it so hard to imagine how it is since I never really tried something that close to me.

I read some of the comments - and a couple of them had biblical quotes or references in them. I myself believe that it’s important to have faith - in this case faith in life going on someday. Someday you’ll see the light in the end of the tunnel. This is my very fave biblical quote:

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for… the belief of things yet not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

When there’s gun-fire and blasts,
Lives wrecked in a mad-mans task,
In the hurt and the grief
Many children believe,
We have a cure.
There’s illness and sorrows
Lives wrecked, not tomorrows
In the hurt and the grief,
Many children believe,
We have a cure.
Politicians and their policies,
Lives wrecked, nations politics,
In the hurt and the grief,
Many children believe,
We have a cure.
Parents toil and strife,
Suffering other pitfalls of life,
In the hurt and the grief,
Many children believe,
We have a cure.

There is no comfort for the loss of a child and our hearts ache for the parents and loved ones of these beautiful slain young adults.  You were clearly loving parents and families, whose young people radiated the joy of life.  They knew love in their lives and were able to love others, and were loved by others. We pray you will eventually find some comfort in recalling all of your care for your children, and the joys they had in their young lives because of your support, care, and love. And we hope each of you is surrounded by as much support, love and care as possible in your grief.

To the Virginia Tech. Family,

We were watching our t.v.’s, reading the internet, listening to our radios when we heard about the “senseless” shootings that happened at you school on Monday morning. I was both shocked and confused about the entire thing. I just thought about all the families and friends that would be changed forever.

You must remember that eventhough we lost some intellegent, brave, innocent, and fun-loving people their spirit will always live on through you. Your sorrow is welcomed but you do not mourn alone! You must remember what made these “everday” people special. Remember what that thing was that made you happy, conforted you, or just simply made you SMILE!

We may not understand but GOD knows and understands all the time, you can go to him anytime, and you should still praise him at all times. Me and my family will continue to pray for you and your families strength. May GOD forever keep you in his everlasting arms.

I had no connection to VT until the last couple of days. My heart is broken as I watched the memorial and began to read about this unexplainable tradegy. As I watch tears streamed down my face thinking of all of the affected lives. All for no reason. My family and I are so very sorry for your losses and you will remain in our prayers forever. As a graduate of VT and a true Hokie in every sense of the word, I am grieving with each and every one of you who were a part of this horrible tragedy.  My thoughts, prayers and love are with you all.  It was so uplifting to see you all united on the drill field at the candlelight vigil.  I loved seeing you standing together proudly wearing your orange and maroon and chanting, “Let’s Go, Hokies!”.  Our tremendous spirit and Hokie Pride will get us through this and help us to move on as best we can.  Like Nikki Giovanni said, “We will prevail.  We are Virginia Tech.”

I go to a college in upstate New York, and I’m sorry for your losses.  My heart goes out to the families who lost people in this tragedy and my prayers are for you.  It’s unfortunate that one unstable individual can destroy so many lives.  Be strong.  God is with you all.

*p.s. has anyone noticed that with all these school shootings that the individuals involved have some mental issues, and are on depression medication.  Depression medication, causes thoughts of suicide and can lead to mental unstability.  I just feel it’s a link to all this mess.  Sorry again for your losses!!!

RIP all the victims! I feel terrible while writing the comment. The Jewish professor’s behavior makes me deeply moved. We do not have to emphasize where the shooter is from. The most important things right now are to help those students who were scared in the massacre to recover from the nightmare and to do something for the victims and their relatives. The following issue should be how to prevent this kind of incidents. All the school, police and society should think about their responsibilities and roles.

I am still in shock and I cannot believe that this can happen somewhere where people come together to learn and study peacefully for a better world and future…
I’m a student in Germany in Cologne and I wanted to let you know that we all grieve with you. On Tuesday morning when I got to University I saw a fellow student with a Virginia Tech T-shirt on and I literally couldnt hold my tears back. Even if we are seperated by thousands and thousands of miles dont forget that there are people who think of you and share your pain.
Please be strong and come even closer together now, as students and as a community.

I wish all of you all the best and send you lots of love from Cologne.

Words can not describe how I felt while watching the news coverage of this tradgedy. Until recently, I had worked at an Academic Institution for almost twenty years and have always thought of Universities of places of enlightenment, both in academic endeavors and in life endeavors. Young minds should be allowed to grow, to learn, to question, to live in such an environment; not be destroyed as so many were on Monday. My heart and prayers go out to all the victims both students and their faculty/mentors as well as the entire Virginia Tech community in this very difficult time.
