First of all, let me say that as a fellow student living on a college campus, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.  I can’t understand how this young man fell through the cracks when there were so many signs of his mental anguish.  If anything, this should be a wake-up call for the system to take the signs seriously so that this tragedy will not be repeated again.  I pray for all the innocent souls who were lost and as a Christian I have to believe that they are now with The Lord and in a much better place than we are.  Take each day, and try to keep living.  I know the people that are now gone would want you to keep going and realize that life is precious and a gift. God Bless you all.

To everyone who works and attends va tech my family and I want you all to know that we send our hearts out to you!You all are in our prayers and thoughts! We can not begin to try and understand what any of you have been through and only hope and pray that the ones you lost, as senseless as there deaths may seem were not lost in vain, instead we pray that the lord had a plan and that they were apart of a higher calling in his great plan, that they were that great of people and were that important to him! I’m from VA and even though I have alot of sadness for what happened, I also feel so much pride in the spirit of Virginia Tech students and staff and how they’re handling this. It shows the whole nation what our state and schools are made of and reminds me my heart is always in Virginia. Your staff and students represent us well.

33 people woke up one morning not knowing it was their last.  My heart grieves for what they endured and the ones they left behind.  May they find solace in memories and moments shared with them.  May we all tell those that we love how much we love and care for them because life is so short and sometimes shorter than it should be.  My heart and prayers are with all of you wishing I could ease your pain and burden. My oldest is away in college and I could not imagine the pain that must be in the hearts of the parents and other family members of the victims.  Remain strong and keep them alive in your hearts forever.  They are forever in ours.  Many, many tears for all of you!! God bless you all as you move forward.

To all -

As I follow the media blitz over this unfortunate incident it brings tears to my eyes.

To those who feel that “there was some way to prevent this” there was not.  Evil is evil.

To those who lost a loved one, my heart cries for you.

It is unfortunate that this kind of tragic incident happened.  You are in the prayers and thoughts of millions around the nation and world.

May God bless you and comfort you in your time of sorrow.

This tragedy has affected many people not only at Virginia Tech but also around the world. I just wanted to say that the victims, their friends and family, the university and everyone effected are in my thoughts and prayers.

Though it doesnt make sense why or how this all happened, we should not dwell over these thoughts-rather we should focus on healing and forgiveness. Know that although this tragedy is hard to accept, hard to make sense of, and although it just plain hurts...those who have survived will become stronger and will have gained a new appreciation for life.

God Bless.

I maybe a University of Kentucky fan, but I am both deeply saddened and shocked at this tragedy. How could someone commit such a horrifying crime? But my prayers go out to all of the victims and their families and the students and alumni who have gone through these bitter times.

My name is Christine, I am a Senior at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I just wanted to say how sorry and sadden I am by this terrible tragedy. You are my thoughts and prayers. We as a school have been praying for you. I am truly impressed by the amount of love, and togetherness that you all have shown as a school in face of this awful tragedy. Always know that God is there for you, He wants to comfort you all you have to do is call apon Him. In His Holy Word, He says that when one of his children dies He grieves. So He is right there griving with you. Draw close to Him and be comforted in Him. GCU will continue praying for you in the days and weeks to come. And you all will continue to be in the thoughts and prayers of everyone in this nation of ours. I think that this horrible, horrible crime opened the eyes of a lot of people, especially college aged students to show us that life is fragile, and so very short and we should live everyday as if it is our last. You never know when the good Lord is going to call you home, to be in His loving arms forever.

I didn’t know anyone affected directly by this, but I know the entire country was affected indirectly. You don’t ever think something like this could happen. You don’t want to think something of this magnitude will ever happen again. Tragedies like this leave you with a feeling of paranoia; however, you can’t go through life looking over your shoulder, waiting for the next bump in the road to come along. So, to everyone affected by this, stay strong. I know right now life has gotten a lot dimmer, but you have to keep going. It make take weeks, months and maybe even years, but one day lifes going to be better. You have to think that way or else you won’t make it through. I know it’s not that easy, but you have to try.

God be with you as you endure this tragedy. Words fail to express the appropriate emotions that you are experiencing at this time. I only hope that this draws your community closer, and that you will understand that we are not promised tomorrow. Give your flowers to those left behind. Don’t let another day pass without saying your “I love you’s, I’m sorry’s, and I forgive you’s.” And if you need help or someone to talk to, go to the resources that are out there, like churches, counselors, friends, your parents, etc. Most of all, reach for the Lord God who comforts all.
