Dear Virginia Tech Students and Faculty,

The images are haunting; the sounds unforgettable. Viewing the seen from a mere television is enough to bring tears to my eyes and the daunting question ‘why’ to my thoughts. I cannot begin to imagine the pain and loss that is being suffered on your campus at this time. My thoughts and prayers are being sent to each of you and your families. Out of this horrific event, I pray that our nation will be strengthened and that college students around the world will continue to serve as a support for one another. May you never feel alone; may you always remember that your life continues because you have a purpose left to serve on this earth. May those lost be remembered with respect and love.  May we all recognize that their purpose on this earth had been served; I am sure each losted person touched someone’s life deeply and will continue to do so through their passing.

With deepest love and God’s blessings,

My deepest sympathies are with you at this horrifying time. As a mother of two university students I can empathisize, but can not imagine the pain and loss you all feel. There are many quiet heros among you. As shock turns to other emotions remember that evil can be overcome by love. We will remember your loved ones and will wait for a chance to donate to a scholarship/memorial fund in their names. In prayer and with love, a Michigan mom

My heart aches for all of you.  I keep trying to figure out why why why?  But it’s not for me to know why.  What’s important is knowing there is a Power, a Presence, a Grace that weaves itself through all of you who grieve.  Lean into God and let the everlasting arms of something far greater than you can imagine hold you, comfort you and dry your tears.  I may be across the country - but my heart and prayers are right there with you.  With Gentle Love, Hugs and Blessings, Peggy

I can’t imagine what ocurred at the campus that morning, only visually see the images on television but even that brought me to tears so I cannot imagine what everyone was and are still going through.
