To all students, faculty and families of Virginia Tech, “You are not alone.” We all grieve with you, we all weep with you and we all pray with you.  If there were any words that would make this tragedy disappear, we would have said them already.  But we can say to you that our love for each one you is pouring abundantly from our hearts and thoughts to all of you from now on as you try to move forward with your lives.  Most of all we honor each life that was taken so abruptly from us all.  April 16, 2007 will be a day in history that we will want to remember and pray that it will somehow be the catalyst that will change the world to be a better place.  God bless you all.

I am very sorry for the death(s) of your loved one(s), coworker(s), friend(s), and classmate(s). I have experienced losses both anticipated and unexpected. When I was fifteen years old in my first year in high school, my mother died of melanoma at age 54 on Monday, December 6, 2004; we were anticipating the loss. As with me, I am sure your loss is emotionally stressful for you and your family.

Your grief may ebb and flow. It has been said that each of us has this well deep inside of us that can be filled to the brim with grief. Every time we cry, we empty out some of the well. But the well fills again. The level of sorrow in your well may lessen as time passes, but it will never run dry. There will always be birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and those days when the well seems to fill to its brim again. Allow yourself time to remember and mourn. It is part of your healing. Grief is a continuing journey.

I am a student at Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts and I can not even begin to imagine what Virginia Tech is going through. None of those students or faculty deserved to die. I have been keeping the victims and their families in my prayers at night. Not that apologizing could bring any of them back, but I truly am sorry for the losses.

Although I am now a resident of California, Virginia is my home.  A graduate of JMU, I spent many amazing weekends among my Hokie friends.  I have countless fond memories of the campus and the warm community spirit I always felt when I was there.

My heart aches-- for the loss of life . . .  for the loss of friends & loved ones . . . for the loss of your sense of security and well-being-- and I really cannot imagine the intense range of emotions that y’all must be experiencing.

Please know that all of y’all are in my thoughts and prayers daily.  Be strong and stay true to your hearts . . .

I just can’t believe the sites and sounds heard and shared by many of you there at Virginia Tech.  Being a father of a 24yr old who went away to college in another state you always keep them close to your thoughts and prayers and hope the day to day routine keeps them safe.  The sorrow felt here in California over the lose of life is as if we are there with you.  Hang tough Hokie Pride...Hang tough.

To address this to those affected by this tragedy would be to address this to the nation, to the world, to all of us. We have witnessed the unthinkable, and now we must find a way to heal.

I live in California and I attend Sacramento City College. My college has been highly affected by this whole ordeal. I send my prayers out to the families of the victims and I pray that your hearts heal in time and receive some type of relief in knowing that your children is resting with the Lord now. And though I can not begin to sypathize ‘cause I have no kids I know what it is like to lose a loved one. Be strong. I am creating a flyer for my college to support those of Virginia Tech by wearing their school colors and i will add the website for them to contribute to the Memorial Fund.

Be blessed. God is holding you.

We are deeply saddened by the events at your school and it has caused much reflection among the students at our school.  When we come to school, we expect to be in a safe, caring environment, and a tragedy like this is unimaginable.  It is evident by looking at the pictures and short biographies of those students and faculty members who passed, that VT is a very special place with a heroic spirit, and we wish you all the best. You will not be defined in our eyes by the sad and ill person responsible for this tragedy, but by the community of people that will persevere through this tough time and keep the memories of those lost alive.

Greed.  It is a strong word.  How could anyone be so full of greed to take the lives of so many.  They have been cheated out of the rest of their lives.  I am so full of pain for them and their families.  Each one was truly remarkable.  Memories of them will live on, this day will never be forgotten. I am deeply sorry for the entire Virginia Tech community.  Those that were lost, survived, and affected by this terrible event.  All of you are in my thaughts and prayers.
