My heart felt sympathy goes out to all in the Virginia Tech family, and especially those parents
who lost a loving and precious child.  I too, lost
a child once through a tragedy - 12 years ago now.

Surely your lives have changed, and now you likely face the most difficult struggle of your time. But life does go on, as it must.  And although there will likely be an empty seat at your table, your child’s love, spirit, and zest for life will remain with you and your’s always, through your future thoughts, words, and memories that will be shared with others.

God bless you, and keep you strong through your
trial that lies ahead. You can manage, and you will manage.  Your lost one needs you now to be as strong as you can.

As I watched coverage of this horrific event all day, I was amazed at the way the students who were interviewed handled themselves, with poise, grace, and dignity. My heart goes out to them and to the families and friends of the victims.

Dear Virginia Tech,
Words cannot say how I feel about your loss. On Monday you lost 32 members of one community striving towards excellence. I hope that you all will move on from this experience and remember that all of you, no matter what major, what race, what clique you may be part of, are part of the strong collective that is Virginia Tech. Bind together and rise above. God bless you all and stay strong during this tough time.

I want to express my deepest condolences to the students, the faculty and the families.
I also want to say that something is very wrong in USA with all the kids having guns and that everybody can buy a weapon in USA.That’s wrong.
I’m from Romania Europe and altough we are a poor country we don’t have that in our schools.
I think that the American politicians should thake example from the European states and change the laws about weapons.
I hope this opened your eyes.

My heart and prayers go out to all of the students, faculty, family, and friends who lost loved ones yesterday...and also for the school community as a whole.  No one should have to deal with a tragedy like this, but take comfort in each other and God.  For the hard times now and to come - may everyone be surrounded with an abundance of love in your time of mourning.  My heart aches for you all.

To the Familes, Students, and all who mourn,

Hearing this devasting news brought tears to my eyes as I sat in front of my TV in disbelief.  I could not believe what I was hearing.  I was a student my jr year at VT in 1995, and nothing like this ever happened in the peaceful town of Blacksburg.  It is so disturbing to hear this dreadful news and my heart goes out to all who lost a loved one.  This could have happened at any place any time.  VT will pull through this nightmare...I know the Hokies will pull through.  My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Blessings, Cindy

Waking up yesterday was horrible. Even though I am faraway from Virginia, here in Los Angeles,I still felt the desperation, pain and anxiety that you all experienced. I broke down as I saw the numbers climb, every life taken is worth a hundred. Every shattered dream and fallen student and teacher, will be a star in the sky. I am sorry, VA Tech families, students, staff and friends, that you are going through this. I am completely saddened and I will mourn with you. I send my deepest condolences. Godspeed.

There are no words to explain the grief and unjustifiable actions that have happened. I’m so sorry for the victims, the families, the students, the professors and everyone who’s been affected. Maybe it’s my ignorance speaking, but I don’t understand why the American gun laws haven’t been changed, or even reviewed more-so. How many more lives must be ruined/lost before something significant gets done? My thoughts are with everyone; I am so sorry.

God has created both good and bad. He created Cho Seung Hui as an example of bad, as to how a person should NOT be! We need to move forward constructively, thinking GOOD!

As a graduate of Virginia Tech, I’m in utter shock at this recent tragedy to befall my alma mater. Words can neither express how deeply saddened I feel regarding those whose lives were taken prematurely nor take away the pain and suffering of the students, the survivors, and the friends and family members who lost loved ones. We are forever changed for this senseless and horrific event will remain in our collective memories and the victims in our hearts. As we move towards healing, seeing the strength and resolve of the members of the VT community gives me hope and makes me truly proud to be able to say that I am a Hokie. “Let’s go Hokies!”
