My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to all those involved. And, while nothing can change the past; this can change the future. Let us remember how fragile life is, and live everyday to the fullest. In the wise words of Jonathan Larson, creator of the musical RENT, “No day but today”. There really is no day but today. One of my high school math teachers is an old VT grad, so in a way there is a slight connection. Keep strong VT!

May God bless those families effected by this tragedy.  May we all learn from the event in some way to make life better and safer.

To the killer, you will have to answer for this. Suicide is not a way out of anything.  God deals with those who do this.

The likes of Cho Seung-Hui makes us lose faith in humankind, innocence and kindness. The oneness that the Virginia Tech community have shown in the tragedy however restores our belief in togetherness, kindness and hope for peace.
I’m oceans away in Africa but I’m with you in prayer and offer my condolences to everyone who has lost a loved one in this tragedy. May God keep you.

My heart goes out to all those who suffered from this act of terrorism.  I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose a child.  Especially to lose one in this manor.  I am raising my grandson.  He is 8 years old.  He saw the reports of what happened on the news.  Now he is afraid to go to school.  I cant say that I blame him.  Do we ever really know if our children are safe ?  Im sending my prayers that you always remember your loved ones in happy thoughts.

To everyone at Virginia Tech University and the victims families:
Words cannot convey how deeply saddened I am by the tragedy that has struck your university and town. My heart goes out to the victims, their families and every student at the univeristy who has been affected. These students, faculty, and/or professors did not deserve to die in the manner that they did nor experience anything this horrendous while at school-the one place that should always be safe. Even though I did not personally know any of the victims or their families; as a student here on the West coast I now shed tears alongside your community.Your loved ones will never be forgotten.

Oh, Virginia Tech!

So many classmates of my kids from Northern Virginia attend the school.

I’ve never expected this kind of thing would happen in the peaceful town right next to the crawling highway of southern Virginia.

May the deceased and those who mourn them be
consoled in the comfort of God’s arms!

Dear Families, Students, Faculty, & Residents of Blacksburg:  I grew up in Fredericksburg, VA & I am alumni of VA Tech-- most of my family went to Tech, my grandfather played football for the Hokies, my grandparents got engaged by the duck pond,& I met my fiance and some of my closest friends while at Tech; even our Christmas ornaments represent Tech. Growing up I was told that I could go to any school I wished, “as long as it was in Blacksburg, VA.” I now live in Southern California and in the 5 years I’ve been here, I see representation of Tech at least weekly, whether by stickers on cars or on T-shirts. It always makes me smile to remember that I went to such a great school with a stellar faculty and student body. I pursued two other degrees in different states and I never felt the community bond like I did with Tech.  Hokies love their school and we always will.  My heart hurts for all of us and I am thinking of the victims, families, medical/police staff, and students.  Peace & love.

I can only sit in my room and think of it and hope for the families, teachers and students and try to envision what it is like for them. I cannot. And that is where I’m truly frightened.

What can describe this? Dante’s description of Hell? All I can think of the unnecessary, my prayers that go to you and a new feeling that’s been awakened in me due to all I’ve heard about these tragic events. This compels me to change how I think daily and I hope it changes more perspectives, so this will not reoccur.
