Condolences, April 17, 2007

I was so shocked to hear about this, I only being 16 cried over this last night, for many hours. Just thinking about what if this happened to me. I’m just so shocked, and saddened by it all. I’m praying for the families, for the students. But I know they are strong and will pull through this, I know it’s not going to be easy but we all have faith.

We will always remember the day..
And I will always pray for each and every one of the victims family.
God bless you all.

We send out heartfelt condolences to all students, faculty and families of Virginia Tech. This is a sorrow that should remain unknown to people so young and with so much potential. It makes you wonder how many world leaders, peace workers, doctors, authors and great scientists the world will never know. It goes unsaid that you will never forget, but with the help of families and community I pray for your healing.

I am filled with sorrow.  Though I don’t attend your fine institution, I am a sister with you all as a senior at Old Dominion University.  Know that all of us there are thinking of all of you and mourn the tragic loss of such promising lives.  My heart breaks every time I see the victims and their families.  My heart breaks every time I see the disbelief and horror in the eyes of all those who attend Virginia Tech.  Our nation is with you all, our state stands with you, ODU stands by your side, and I will continue to keep you all in my prayers.  Keep your dreams alive despite the nightmare you were all forced to endure.  God Bless you in your hour of saddness and may He bless you always.

Well, At first I turned on the TV and i noticed what had happened, I held on to my boyfriend and cried. I could not belive what was happening. I am a 13 year old girl who to tell you the truth probably would not understand, but this hurt me bad and although i am not related to anyone that goes to Virginia Tech, I felt bad for all those parents who one day decide that their child is now old enough to venture out into the world and then get a distrubing phone call telling them that their loved is not with them in this world anymore. Tragic things should not happen to kids our age and kids older. I give all my love and courage to all those who need it right now. I ask all those who have either lost a friend a sibling or a daughter\son to be strong and were I live which is Houston, Texas we are all praying for those families and that you need to be strong.

Lots of Love and remember that all our prayers from houston are with all of the students who past away, to those who were injured, and to all those fellow Virginia Tech students who are going through a difficult time right now.

It’s awful what happened at your uni, I’m a university student in England, and I would never dreamed if it could ever happen to my uni, but I guess nor did you guys. I’ve seen the news of the victims, some of them were so young, and the old teacher who died trying to protect the students :..( My thoughts are with all of you guys, and I hope things can go back to the way it was (though it would be easy said than done)

As a teacher, I can only say that my heart goes out to the families of the students lost but also to those of the faculty members who gave their all -as so many teachers do.

In addition I grieve for the brave survivors who have lost their youth and exuberance in a single day.

Never forget.
