It is oftentimes that we wonder why such thing could have happened to innocent people.. now as the earth cries i deeply grieve and feel their passings in a very personal sense.

For sure the bereavement may not be deleted in a while and through this may all brothers and sisters be tough for there is always God’s presence that heals.

My prayers are with the families of the victims and those of the suspected shooter.  It must be a difficult time for all of them.  Jesus will forgive anyone who believes in Him.  I pray that Jesus will forgive people with hardened hearts and anger toward the suspected shooter.  No one deserves to die in such a way.  May the peace of our loving God be with everyone during this difficult time.  BAN GUNS!  Amen.

I would like to wish my thoughts and condolences to all of the students, faculty, and families of Virginia Tech.  No words that I say can possibly alleviate the pain and grief that your community is going through.

However, I would like to say that I really admire the strength and connected spirit that I have read about and seen on the news demonstrated by the student body and families of the University.  It is apparent that you have an amazing community.  I hope to one day visit your beautiful campus and pay my respects in person.

VT Community:  You are ALL in my thoughts & prayers.  I hope this poem given to me recently when my brother past away will give you comfort as it has for myself.  God will carry you through!
“REMEMBER ME” by Judith Karen Bulock
REMEMBER ME when flowers bloom early in the spring, REMEMBER ME on sunny days in the fun that summer brings, REMEMBER ME in the fall as you walk through the leaves of gold and in the wintertime-REMEMBER ME in the stories that are told, But most of all remember each day-right from the start, I will be forever near, for I live within your heart.

Dear someone,
I dont know your name and I will never know your pain, yet I still think of you. I wish that something could have been done for you who are not here with us and I pray for the healing of the wounded students who were chosen to stay. Its a crazy world these days and all I can say is, “Someone, I’m sorry your gone, i’m sorry you’ve lost a loved one, i’m sorry your friend is gone, and i’m sorry everything is different from now on.” This horrible event has yet again reminded us, we are never promised a day and we should rejoice every one we are given. Lastly, Dear Someone, please be safe. You are in our prayers.

It’s difficult to fully express the shock and concern people around the country and world have on the events of April 16th.  People everywhere are wishing the best for the students and families involved.

Students, faculty and alumni of colleges and universities everywhere are standing by and with you in this tragedy.  VT is a fine institution, it’s students were brave, and many became heros yesterday.

Those who died and were injured will always be remembered.  They will be remembered not just for the lives lost, but for the potential lost to the world by their absence.

The world mourns with you.

I am not directly affected by this- I don’t know anyone involved and I’ve never even been to Virginia. My heart breaks at the senselessness of this, though, and I’m sending all the love I can to everyone who has lost a loved one. Be strong.

With a heavy heart, I extend to the Virginia Tech family my deepest prayers and loving, supportive thoughts. I am an adjunct professor at Temple University in Philadelphia and cannot imagine the horror you all went through that day. I want you to know that I have been and will continue to pray for ALL of you, your families and communities. Feel your pain. Talk out your concerns. Support each other. Realize it will not end overnight. But, at the same time, know you have a bright future ahead. Remember, God loves you and so do so many other people.

I am a high school senior in Eugene, OR. This is a truly horrific moment in our society. It is sad to know that another shooting has passed, especially one of this magnitude. In this day and age, students are no longer secure and teachers are forced to take extreme safety measures inside the classroom. All we can do now is be prepared for the future and hope that there will be peace in the end. All of our prayers here in Oregon go out to those at Virginia Tech. God bless you.

I believe that all of the victims are in peace now, and we must all remember that even though Cho Seung-Hui sadly took the lives of these innocent people, he is stiill a human who was obviously very troubled. I am not saying what he did was right, but lets try to forgive this man, as he is dead now. It would be what these wonderfully good people that died would want.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the victims, and Cho Seung-Hui.

I’m a graduate of The Ohio State University.  I don’t know anyone at Virginia Tech, nor do I have any ties to the school.  However, as a member of the Buckeye Nation, I feel a great need to reach out to those in the Hokie Nation in this time of great sadness.  I hope that everyone that has been impacted by this tragedy will be able to find the comfort, compassion, and peace that will help them to cope in the days, weeks, months, and years to come.

Wishing the very best for the entire Virginia Tech community,

When this story hit the air, I could not believe what I was seeing, it was horrifying. I cried when I saw it, I cried today, for not only the decreased but for all of you, the injured, the Families the Friends. May you all find peace and comfort that you are not alone. Keep the faith and the spirit that you all have at Virginia Tech. The candle light vigil was beautiful to see, I am sure the ones that did not survive are smiling down on you all.

I am so sorry and can only imagine the sad feelings of loss and pain that all of you are enduring from this horror. As I watched helplessly the video footage that was taken yesterday morning, I felt saddened and sickened and wished you all could have been protected from what was going to happen. How frightened you all must have been trying to find and contact your friends. I am so sorry. My heart goes out to your campus and your families. God bless all of you and keep you safe.

To the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones, and the the students and staff at VT. My thoughts and prayers are with each one of you. You don’t always know what to say at times like these except to let you all know that my heart is with you. I know that there are 100’s of people that are praying for you and offering condolences. Only you guys know what it’s like first hand, I know your hearts are broken , but please know you are not alone. Stay stong, and take care of yourselves, be there for eachother. It will be a long road to recovery, but if any community/college can do it, it’s you. You will always be remembered, not for the tradegy, but for the way you came together, and for your pride and strength at such a hard time. Go VT.
