Condolences, April 17, 2007

May God bless you and guide you in your time of sorrow, grief, anger, and confusion.  Though this cruel day will never be erased from your memories, the pain will subside.  You will probably never understand the sudden loss of life and innocence that occured at the hands of such a disturbed individual, but there is a plan bigger than any of us can see.  My hearts and prayers go out to the parents, family, and the VT community.  Be strong for each other during this horrible time.

Our deepest, most heart felt sympathies are with the entire school community, and the families who have lost loved ones.  We are praying for all of you.  May you all take the time to mourn, remember, and celebrate the lives of your loved ones, and take these memories, and lessons with you in your endeavors.  Use this experience to help make the world a better place.

It is very hard for me to wrap my brain around what has happened to the Virginia Tech community. So much senseless violence is always difficult to understand. I appreciate this website allowing those of us who feel very helpless and lost over your tragedy express our concerns for all of you. And to let every single member of your community know that there are so many people who are thinking of you and are sending all of you their prayers and many hugs to help you get through this terrible time.

I am very shocked at the news, and have become aware of what can happen when you least expect it. Many people suffer, but I believe that they become stronger after the pain. I wish that our community will grow stronger and stronger, so that we can help people in need. Have faith in God, and although your loved ones can be gone physically, remember that they will always be with you in your heart.

I don’t know anyone at Virginia Tech but my heart aches for the parents, students and staff.  To the parents:I don’t even pretend to know the extent of your pain and sorrow.  Just know you are not grieving alone.  To the staff: May you find the wisdom and courage and strength to help these young people and each other through this horrific time.  Finally, to the students: Grieve this terrible time but also don’t forget to live and to love.

Those we love never die, for as long as we live and remember, they are with us.  It in losing that we truly learn the meaning of life and how to love.  May we all unite as one to remember all that we have lost and all that we will gain out of this horrific tragedy. When a young life dies, a whole world of opportunities is lost.  My deepest thoughts and prayers are with you all, may God’s love shine down upon you now when you need it the most!

To me Virginia Tech has always been and extremely unique college. Those Thursday night football games on ESPN throughly show the passion of your students. I really dont remember the last time I prayed but this horrific event broke the silence and i just wanted the students of the Hokie nation that they are in my prayers and i know from that strenght i’ve observed on TV that your campus will emerge from the ashes like the phoenix. My hearts go out to all of you who are hurting from the great loss that happened on April 16, 2007. During this time of sorrow, we must all remember that God never makes a mistake. At times like this we find ourselves questioning God and the events that have occurred but we cannot question Him for He has ALL power. Although this tragedy has affected all of us in different ways remember that everything happens for a reason. God knows what we are able to handle and he will NEVER put more on any of us than we are able to handle.
Please know that we at Texas Women’s University are praying for each and every one of you during this great loss at VT and in our country as a whole.

Your sister in Christ.

To the students, their families and the entire community of Virginia Tech.  At times like this we try so desperately to find answers as to why such an atrocity could happen....but to no avail. The love and prayers of this nation are with you all at this time. I pray that GOD will post HIS angels all around and give you comfort and peace at a time when you think peace isn’t possible.
