"The will of God will not take you where the grace of God will not protect you.” My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to all of the victim’s families, friends, acquaintences.  May you find peace, strength, and hope in God and take comfort in knowing that He is there to guide all of you and help you come to terms with this senseless act.

Even though I don’t live there now, Virginia was my home for 20 years.  My sister was a Hokie, many of my friends were Hokies, and I almost was a Hokie.  But today we are all Hokies.

To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.  O my God, in You I trust, Do not let me be ashamed; do not let my enemies exult over me.  Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.  Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths.  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.....Psalm 25:1-5

May Christ comfort and help the faculty, staff, and students of Virginia Tech and all those touched by these events.......James K.  (Lets Go Hokies!)

Dear Fellow Hokies,
No words can express the feelings that I’ve had all week as I watched, with the world, the events that transpired on April 16th and after. Although I am a graduate and haven’t been on campus for a long time, I am a Hokie and have always been so proud to be one.

Here in Florida, flags are flying half mast in honor of all who were lost or injured.  Be strong.  You are not alone in your grief.  We are united.

My deepest condolences and prayers.

when sorrow overwhelms and you can barely breathe
when heartache overcomes and you’re blinded by the grief
when no answers to the questions will ever justify
the profanity of death for the sacrament of life

though the violence of hate may have killed our innocence
and the dark clouds of confusion bring the dimness of distress
the lives of those have ended when their living just begun
but we cannot be the victims, for evil has not won

(CH)
every loving kiss, every friendly smile, every tender touch, makes everything worthwhile
every, flower’s bloom, every newborn’s cry tells me that love never dies

though the chaos of the world breeds the demons of despair
the flicker of a light will bring the darkness to an end
death is not the victor, even though we all will pass
it’s the beauty of the living and the hope within our hearts

(CH)

forgiveness sweet forgiveness take this bitter cup away
suffering oh suffering may hope remove the stain
though i shook my fist at heaven and i wondered where you where
closed my eyes & saw your beauty in the middle of it all

(CH)
every pure thought, every gentle breeze, every sweet emotion, every song we sing
every wonder of creation, every sunrise testifies to me that love never dies

As a mother of a college student my heart goes out to those who lost loved ones at Virginia Tech or had someone injured, but I suppose everyone at the school has been harmed in one way or another. I try to think how would I ever recover and get the strength to go on if I lost my precious son. There have been so many emotions and tears since this tragedy happened to your wonderful school, and our great country. I hope those places where the killings took place will be permanently removed from your campus so your faculty, staff, and students will not have to be reminded of it forever. I pray that we all are able to heal and recover from this atrocity. Many blessings to all of you from a much loved University of Kentucky student’s Mom.

When someone close to us is taken from us suddenly, the pain sometimes seems more than we can bear. And yet, with time, our memories grow more precious, and we can come to realize that those we’ve loved live on within our hearts.

You are in the thoughts and prayers of so many!

May God bring peace to your hearts! We are so proud of the Hokie family!

My heart and prayers go out to all who have been affected by this tragedy.  I walk a little taller knowing that we as a nation will overcome all this tragedy together, not just the Hokie family but the entire Nations family.  We all came together on 9/11 and somehow we drifted apart.  We are together today. LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!!  Lets not have another tragedy and have to be pulled together again.  I will hold a special place in my heart for each soul that has been lost and will pray for the injured to recover and pursue their life in what ever direction it goes.
God Bless you all!

Live Cut Short

Their’s are gone
But not for long
We will see you all someday
As we all find our way
We will meet you in heaven

They were all very much loved
But were called by God above
Their time here was short
Now we are all out of sorts
Our hearts are broken
Words are unspoken

We are now dealing with the pain
There are clouds and there is rain
But we will always have friends
Through thick and thin
Friends and love never end

Families haven been broken apart
But will never leave our hearts
Our thoughts and prayers are with them
And we will sing praises and hymns
Now it’s time for us to cry
And forever wonder why

Our memories of you all will live on
Though you are gone
Your body no longer on earth
You have now went through rebirth
We love you all for always and a day
In each and every way
