I, like many others have spent countless hours morning the loss of life that occured this week on your campus. I can only offer my sincere sympathy to you all and a promise that I will continue to pray for the families, friends, co-workers, students and the entire community who have been effected by this tradegy. I am a college student myself...we know this could have happened on our campus, the same way it could happen anywhere...I am so sorry it has happened at all. I pray for each of you and hope that these messages of condolence bring some sense that people everywhere are pulling together, praying and trying to figure out what they can do to help ease the pain in this trying time.

To all the families, friends, students and teachers of Virginia Tech University:

I cannot begin to sincerely find words to express the grief that I feel about this horrible tragedy that has sincerely struck you hard like it was a very severe bad dream. But you all have shown to the world that GREATER good can come out of the great evil. If you need to talk to me, i am on myspace or I can be reached at: Greatson1@yahoo.com I joined with you in silence today as I mourned and watched the service on television. I watched the convocation and my mom and I were deeply moved by Julie Stills’s usage of our mentor’s words. And I’ll tell you, I am proud that I can say today I am a hokie for life! Please just drop me a line anytime you want to talk. I am here always.

Sincerely,

Christopher C. Gagliardi

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who lost so much in this tragedy.  I began my jouney to a second career as a teacher with the help of the wonderful instructors at VT.  It is truly a learning community that is filled with many caring and compassionate individuals.  The strength of such a community will help in the healing process.

As a 2005 graduate of the VT Eng Dept, I would like to pay my respect to the victims, their families, and to the entire VT Community.  After this week’s events, I feel the anger and violation of such evil touching the campus I once considered home.  I remember my days of having classes in Norris.  I recognize the smiling faces of the victims and I know the potential and success their futures held.  Along with so many others, I mourn for those whose lives will never be the same. On behalf of PMA Consultants LLC, we would like to express our sympathy and extend our support to those at VT as we grieve along with you.  We are impacted when we have ever felt a moment fear for our own personal safety; when we have ever let ourselves consider the pain of losing a child or parent; when we have felt the anger of losing someone we love through unnatural causes; when we treasure our future, never considering for a moment that they could be taken from us. We wear our orange and maroon with pride today, for all we have and for all we lost, and for the future of Tech.  We are all connected and today we stand united in proud support of the Hokies.

Our deepest sympathy and constant prayers,

Cyndi Smith

As a mother who lost a child of the same age a few years ago, I know that no words will give you the comfort you need or no one has the answers that will make your pain any less;

I can only hope that in your journey without your lost angel you will find the strength to find peace in their memory through the celebration of their life with warmth in all of your loving memories to ease your tragic, tragic, tragic loss.

I can only say I am so sorry for your loss and pain that no one should ever have to endure what you now are experiencing.

My heart goes out to all of the angels that lost there lives, and to those that were physically injured but most of all to those that are left to survive the loss of there special someone.

How sad for all those hopes and dreams now gone…… so many losses.

BLAME IS JUST APART OF THE ANGER PHASE. I AM SURE THAT EVERYONE DID WHAT THEY THOUGHT WAS RIGHT AT THAT TIME. ONLY HIND SIGHT IS 20/20 AND IM SURE ALOT OF US HAVE HAD TO LEARN BY LOOKING BACK. WE ALL NEED TO KNOW THAT WE ARE PEOPLE WHO EAT,DRINK SLEEP AND BREATH ALIKE IN SOME MANNER AND WE SHOULD STEP OUT OF SELF AND SEE THAT EDUCATION IS A WONDERFUL THING, BUT WE SUFFER MOST BECAUSE OF A LACK OF LOVE ,UNDERSTANDING AND RESPECT. LET’S LOOK AROUND AND LOVE MORE AND NOT BE SO QUICK TO JUDGE SOMEONES LIFE. IT’S TIME TO NOTICE IT’S NOT ABOUT COLOR, MONEY, GENDER, OR ANYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF TO CREATE A SEPERATION BETWEEN YOU AND THEE.  I ONCE READ SOMEWHERE- I WOULD RATHER LIVE IN THIS WORLD AS IF THERE IS A GOD AND TO DIE AND FIND THAT THERE IS NOT. THAN TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD AS IF THERE IS NO GOD ONLY TO DIE AND FIND THAT THERE IS… MAY YOUR HEARTS BE HEALED AND KNOW THAT SO MANY ARE LEANING YOUR WAY. WOW WHAT A STRONG MOVEMENT. MAKE IT STAND OUT SHOW US HOW TO HEAL HOKIES.  P.S I WATCHED THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES LAND IN OUR AIR FIELD ON HIS WAY TO VISIT WITH TECH HE ALSO NEEDS OUR PRAYERS- WE ALL NEED TO PRAY FOR THE WORLD.

My heart goes out to the friends and familys that are left to suffer through this tragedy.  I cannot even begin to imagine what it is like to lose someone close to you like this.  I don’t know if anything can be said to comfort these people . But take comfort in knowing that time does heal all wounds.  Even though you may not think so right now.

Lean on your friends and family in this time of need and let those ties from your loved ones be the ties that keep you strong and support you all through this.  Best wishes for you all.

I share my faith, my love, my prayers with the families of VT who have been through so much this week.  While death is imminent for all of us we always ask “why?”, there is no good answer for that and while we suffer here on earth those who left this place earlier this week are now rejoicing by the right side of God.  May each of you rejoice in the fact that there is a better place and we will all once again form that union as we did here on earth.  May God “continue” to Bless us all.

There are never enough or the right kind of words to help us understand why such senseless acts of violences are committed. My heart goes out to each and every family who have suffered a loss this terrible week. These lives that were lost were all of accomplished and inspiring people. They will be missed, but mostly they will b remembered for who they were and how they lived.

I lived in Blacksburg while commuting to Radford from ‘91-’93 and Blacksburg and VT hold nothing but happy memories for me.  Tech is a strong community, always has been, and the strength the students have shown through this tragedy is indicative of the Hokie Pride that I know and love.  My prayers and with you all.  I proudly fly my Hokie flags and wear maroon and orange and these victims will not be forgotten.

My name is Mindy and I live in Orlando. I heard of these events from a co worker whos sister is a professor in Norris Hall.  She and I are close and it was like I was living through her pains.  Luckyly all ended up well but it was scary for us here who were waiting to hear any news.  Since this day I have prayed for all the victims and their families.  I believe we are all victim of this tragedy.  We may have not been harmed physically but emotionally its been a nightmare!  May God Bless all of you and give you strength and guidance through this difficult time.  Keep your heads up and keep the dream alive for your fallen friends, family members, classmates!  They are gone but will never be forgotten!!

Today I want to take the time to say GOD BLESS each and everyone involved in this tragedy!  I pray that only good things will come from the bad and that each family will be able to go forward with good memories of their family members and friends!  I also pray that those who are unsure about their salvation will pray and ask Jesus into their heart before it is to late.  We never know what the next second will bring.  Don’t let it be too late for you, have the assurance that you’ll be going to Heaven and living an eternal life there.  Also remember to say I Love You to those you love each and everyday!  You never know what the day may bring.  You’re in my prayers each and everyday!

Virginia Tech has been my home and my heart for 5 years.  This tragedy which has inflicted my friends, my family, and my community is one that I will never forget and nor should I or anyone else.  The healing process on which I embark will be long and sometimes confusing, however with the strength of the Hokie Community I know I will survive.  We will survive!  My thoughts go out to all of those that have lost a loved-one to this tragedy.  Just know that your son, daughter, father, mother, brother, sister, professor, classmate, friend was and still is surrounded by the foundation of love on which Virginia Tech was built and continues to thrive.  We are left behind to cherish their memories and to come together as a community, let your love for these victims never be forgotten and their love for you and Virginia Tech always be remembered!  We unify as Hokies because we unify as people who unify through LOVE.

My heart went out to all of you when watching the terrible events on television, especially the people who lost their lives in such a senseless way.  But I was amazed and impressed by the dignity and maturity shown by all of the students from Virginia Tech.  This very sick man may have taken something from of you but he hasn’t taken the essence of what obviously good people you are. I wish you all the very best for the future.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.
