My thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends and school of this sad event. Stay strong and continue to be brave for the souls that are no longer with us.

When the trees sing,
It doesn’t really matter
If you know the song,
Or if you know the words,
Or even if you know the tune.
What really matters is knowing
That the trees are singing at all.
~Mattie

Just remember the times they did have here on earth will not be forgotten, for they are the angels in our dreams. Time cures all wounds.

Everyone down here is so sorry to hear what happened.  We pray for you every night.  Our church has you on their prayer list.

I am 12 years old and an all A honor student.  I would have been so scared if I was there.  I’m sure you are feeling badly for those who lost their lives.  Think on the bright side.  They are in a better place now.

Before this happened, no one would think it was possible.  Now people are more aware.  A few universities around us have announced they were sending for security programs.

God bless all of you.

Sincerely,

I would like to express my sincere sympathy to all of Virginia Tech, and the family of the loved ones that were lost. Today, they spoke of those that are gone, but just let me say that they may be gone physicaly, but spiritualy, they are with us now as we speak, and until we meet them again in heaven. They are gone only for a short time, and then we will be united once again. May God Bless All Of You.
Sincerely,

My name is Kenya Jones and I want to share that I want to share for the family and friends of the thiryt two victims at Virgina Tech. Virgina Tech Angels On this sad and tragic day, year two thousand seven, thirty two spirits were picked upon to meet with god in heaven. The devil took one weak soul and convinced it to obey. The lord chose thirty two young angels, home with him to play. I asked the lord why he chose them so young, why they couldnt stay awhile longer. He said If thr devil took one weak soul and convinced it to sin, then my children neet to be stronger! Its when he spoke those words to me, I began to understand, that everything serves its purpose according to his plan. I got down on my knees and asked the lord,How do I deal with the pain? He said Just like you need sunshine for growth, you must also endure the rain! Your angels await you in heaven for your hugs and youre kissing, while on earth you bare the pain, for a piece of you is missing. I asked the lord to protect me from the devil I think he wants me too. He said All you have to do is believe in me, while my angels watch over you.

Please remember those who have passed on, not by how they died, but by how they lived.  In this you will find warm memories, smiles, and a lot of love.  Hold on to that, and you will have a part of them always.
You all, are in the world’s thoughts and prayers.  Honor your loved ones by not letting this shooter hold you back.  Do Not let him win.  YOU ARE VIRGINIA TECH!

As a mom, I spend every minute of every day keeping my 2 kids safe in any way that I can.  For something like this to happen in, what every parents’ hope is a safe environment, school, is very upsetting.

My thoughts are with the families, friends and classmates of everyone involved.  I pray that you can feel that safe once again some day.

I think the whole world is saddened and shocked by the tragic unfolding of April 16th, 2007.  I am a recent college graduate from Penn State University and want to just say that what occured on Monday was tragic, but allowed so many people to come together as one.  We can only focus on the present and future.  As we mourn the passing of the students, faculty and staff who were taken from this world, we can thank God that they were with us for the time that they were.  For the students that are recovering from wounds from the gunman, I applaud your courage and hope that you can help those people who have lost a loved one.  Take Care and just know that we (the world) are praying for your recovery.

God bless all that lost their lives in this tragedy. They will forever be in my heart and soul.  My prayers are with the families and all in the Hokie Nation affected by this unimaginable catastrophe.  This is a time for all of humanity to rise above this evil and look towards the future with peace in our minds, love in our hearts, and harmony in our souls.  As a alumni of Virginia Tech (both an undergraduate and graduate degrees), as well as a former employee of the University, I have never been more proud of being a Hokie than I am right now.  Watching with utter amazement at the countless students interviewed over the last few days, I was struck with such a sense of pride and encouragement at how they all were so mature, articulate, and above all, proud to be Hokies.  This nation, and the world, now knows what it means when someone asks, “what is a Hokie?” WE ARE AND FOREVER WILL BE HOKIES...WE ARE VIRGINIA TECH!!

With love and peace to all,
Nate

From so far i have seen such desperate and unimaginable events engulfing you now. I can only hope that people gain strength and hope in such distress, our thoughts are with you now always and forever.

come to me
i’ll take care of you
protect you
calm, calm down
you’re exhausted
come lie down
you don’t have to explain
i understand

you know
that i adore you
you know
that i love you
so don’t make me say it
it would burst your bubble
break the charm

jump off
your building’s on fire
i’ll catch you
i’ll catch you
destroy all that is keeping you back
and then i’ll nurse you
i’ll nurse you

come to me
i’ll take care of you
you don’t have to explain
i understand

I had to write again.  I so share your pain.  I wanted to say I am appalled at the media showing over and over again the rantings of a murderer.  They are putting the focus on him and that’s probably what he wanted.  I just wanted to say everyone that I have talked to thinks that it shouldn’t have been shown and should stop.  We want the focus on the victims and their families.  I will continue to pray for all of you.
God bless you all.

As a Virginia transplant in Colorado, an alum of Virginia schools, and a sibling to a current VT student, it breaks my heart to be so far away from home during all this.  Just wanted to let you know that EVERYONE is thinking of you and keeping you in their prayers.  You’re not alone. If there is a positive in all this, it is that the world is getting a glimpse of the spirit that thrives at VT. Stay strong!

Today, the fire alarm went off in my school’s library and I jumped. A silence came upon the students around me. Some ran. I froze. It has been five days since your shooting and we are all scared. May the memory of those love ones lost help us walk around free without constantly looking over our shoulders.
