Dear students, teachers, and families of Virginia Tech,
I want to express my sadness and shock for this tragedy and extend my deepest sympathies to you all. I urge you not to give in to anger and despair, but to go on with hope that the world can be better and it is up to each one of us to make it better.

"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” - Colossians 3:15 NIV - Today the color of these clothes are maroon and orange. May we all learn from the Hope that the Hokie Nation has showed us during this time of terrible tragedy.

My heart breaks again for the parents who lost their Princes & Princesses during this most tragic event. Having lost my own 15 year old daughter, Robin 4 1/2 years ago - I understand a parents anguish. My prayers are with each and every one of you and I’ve asked God to have Robin show them around heaven and show them all the cool stuff. Until that great and glorious day when we will be reunited with them… we press on - One day at a time. I pray that you find some comfort in knowing that an entire nation - in fact, many nations - are mourning your indescribable loss… with you.
The Lord bless you and keep you…

I am a native of Spotsylvania, VA living in Tucson, AZ now. When I heard of the horrible senseless act on Monday I was in shock and still am. I did not go to VA Tech but had friends who did and have friends whose children have or are attending there now. All I can say is my thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone in the VA Tech community. Although I did not attend VA Tech but being from VA I feel I am part of your community. My heart grieves with you and for you. May God bless each of you with His love, grace, and peace.
“Trust HIS Heart”
By Eddie Carswell and Babbie Mason
All things work for our good though sometimes we can’t see how they could.
Struggles that break our hearts in two sometimes blind us to the truth.
Our Father knows what’s best for us.
His ways are not our own; So when your pathway grows dim and you just can’t see Him, remember: you’re never alone.
God is too wise to be mistaken, God is too good to be unkind;
So when you don’t understand, when you don’t see His plan, when you can’t trace His hand, trust His heart.
God bless you all and give you peace.
Go Hokies! Go!

Just wanted to share my deepest sympathies for the victims and their families on this tragic occasion. I can only imagine how incredibly painful this experience has been for all those involved. Makes you wonder what kind of place this world is turning into when such a senseless act of violence and others like this continue to happen. As a university student myself, I can imagine how terrifying it must be for such an occurrence and my heart goes out to everyone touched by this event. I only live in a tiny corner of this world but I assure each and every one of you that everyone around the world is feeling your pain.

My names Ashley and I’m a current senior at Smithfield High School, which is also the school that Nicole White and Matt Webster graduated from. Everyone here is mourning the death of Nicole. And although her life wasn’t spared on Monday, Matt’s was and we can just be greatful for that. I just wanted to share my condolences to the people that lost their loved ones. Whether they be friends, family, or teachers. Everyone at Virginia Tech is in our thoughts and prayers, and nobody will ever forget the lives that were taken in that drastic day. I also wanted to say with pride, that our school took part in the 12 p.m. moment of silence and the ringing of the bells to honor all the students and teachers of VT. And as everyone has said.."Today, We Are All Hokies.” And Monday, April 16 will never be forgotten. <3
