My thoughts and prayers are with the families, students, faculty and staff and friends of all the victims. May God continue showering you with his strength, power, faith and courage. May he continue showering you with the spirit of togetherness as you grieve. As hard as it is, it is my prayer that he will provide you with the spirit of forgiveness and courage to move on graciously while keeping the pride that the school and the town has in so many years embraced.

May God Bless You All!

Life Interrupted
by Greg Doyle

No human could relieve the pain
of this life interrupted.
None could foresee disaster
on the doorstep of this sunny day.

An angry knock fell like lightning bolts
and echoed peals of furious thunder,
shreading fragile threads of fabric,
pouring wrath upon a makeshift altar.

A sacrifice of the unwilling prey,
offered by a self-righteous predator
to the Prince of this Earth
in a feeding frenzy of selfishness.

A cold wind hastens the day of reckoning,
but not in the wake of warm sorrow.
No human could relieve the pain
of this life interrupted.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crêpe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

May the memories of friends lost remain with all of you forever. May their memories one day help you find peace.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

My thoughts and prayers are with all who are grieving and to the ones who were lost and injured.

Hang in there and just take one day at a time. You will all get through this. Be there for one another. From what I have witnessed on the television, it looks as though all of you are very much supporting one another.

I would like to offer my condolences to all families and friends of the victims of this tragic event. It just makes me speechless - words cannot express how deeply shocked I am. As I’m a student myself I can only guess how terrible this situation must be for everyone.
You’re all in my prayers and thoughts.
God bless you.

As the hart panteth after the fountains of water ,
so my soul longs for thee, O God.
My soul hath thirsted after the living God ;
when shall I come and appear before my God?
My tears have been my bread day and night ,
whilst it is said to me each day:
Where is thy God?
