As an RU alumni, I hold VT very close to my heart and have had the honor of visiting your beautiful campus many times.  I am so sorry for the tragedy and the suffering that I’m sure you must all be experiencing.  I am so proud of the students, staff, and administration at VT, the citizens of Blacksburg, those who staff the police forces, hospitals, and other emergency response teams, and the entire New River Valley area.  You all have shown so much class and sincerity throughout this tragedy.  There is no doubt that you will prevail.  My condolences and blessings go out to each and every family member and friend of the victims and to every student, staff, and faculty member at VT.  God Bless You All.

When I heard about what happened I felt sad.  I think about all the lives that were lost.  It is a very difficult situation to go through; especially if you lost someone very important.  I still have questions that I can’t answer.  Like why this student would do something like this.  I don’t want to go to far into it, but it is very confusing what the student was thinking at the time.  I am sorry, and will continue to think about the lives lost.  I am from New Jersey, and I heard a few students lived in New Jersey who were going to Virginia Tech.  I did not know them , but I really feel sorry for all those who are gone.

In memory of V-tech

All around the world
The voice was heard
Of the man who ended everyones world

Picked up a gun and had some fun
Took it out for a whirl
Walked around,heads aspun

Filling the halls with innocent blood
In a rage of a broken heart
He made many souls depart

From this life less forgotten
But more remembered
As the day the earth stood still

Remember them all.

I hope that eventually we can move on from this horrific event But we will never forget what happened on that horrible day!

With great condolences,
Dani C.

Dear Students of Virginia Tech, Families and Friends~

Like the rest of America and the world, I watched the horrific events unfold on the television. The deep saddness and grief that I have for the Victims, their families and the Survivors simply cannot be expressed.

However, in spite of the Darkness that day on your Campus, YOU, each and every one of YOU, the SURVIVORS of that day, are truly what inspire me, and many, many others.

Through your grief and shock, each and everyone of you have been a true example of integrity, strength and HOPE.

Your sense of Community, the incredible compassion that each of you posses, and the love of your lost and injured friends is what truly has helped OTHERS find strength in order to endure this tragedy.

Each and every one of you are a true credit to Viginia Tech, and this great Nation we all call “home”.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all, and may God continue to Bless you, your families and your friends.

Most Very Sincerely,

Joan

To all the victims, the VT, families and friend and other victims from around the world, God Bless You All.

There are no word to describe this horrible massacres.  I have a daughter who goes to a college too and there was a bomb treat.  My heart just stop there.  No harms were done, but in my heart, the pain and hurt will always be there, just as all of you, but your pain is even bigger.

There’s no word to describe how you all feel.
My heart goes out to all of you.

My eyes are filled with tears for all those life, dead, survivor and parents and friend of victims.

I just want to send you all my condoleance, God Bless You.

Hang on there, talk about how you feel and don’t be afraid to say so.  Heeling is a long way and we will never forget, but what we can do is try to study and apply laws to protect thoses children of us.

We can’t stop violence, but we sure can talk about it, share it, educate our children at a young age.  This is the important thing to do.

So all of you from VT, You have my deepest regard for who you are, for what your going thru and so is the family and friends and people from around the world who care for the life of our children from all society.

God Bless You All,

Love You All,

Lise

One of my co-workers said to me, “I saw someone on the news give the answer, ‘I am a Hokie’ when asked what a Hokie was.  Why did she say that?”

I simply smiled and said, Because that’s the answer.

I explained it as best I could, but they couldn’t understand.  They may not ever understand.  In the wake of this tragedy, as I deal with alternating feelings of shock, sadness, fear and anger, the one thing that keeps me strong and smiling is that I know, no matter what anyone else says, the people connected with Virginia Tech are showing the world what it means to have a Hokie Heart.  I have never been more proud to be a Hokie.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepard, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name sake.
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You aniont my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

I had to break up my note to fit all characters.

May God always make your road a happy one.

God Bless You all!!!
