The tears won’t stop coming down my face. To the families, friends, and loved ones, you have my deepest sympathy.  But rest assured that GOD has opened the golden gates for that truly “higher education”.

I first must say my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. I attend the University of Georgia and am still shocked by the horror of these events. God is looking down upon all of you and he will help the healing! We will never forget! My prayers are with everyone!

While I can’t begin to put the sorrow I feel into words, I can share my love for Virginia Tech and hope that as we all figure out how to move past this event, sharing words of hope and love will help us heal. Virginia Tech made me the person I am today. I applied to only one college. Virginia Tech was the only place I wanted to spend those important four years of my life, and it’s the only place I want to be right now. While I can’t be there with my fellow Hokies, I can close my eyes and pray that they all know how much they are loved. My thoughts are with my Hokies and my school. We will emerge stronger. Trust in this.

I am a VT grad currently living halfway across the country.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I can verify that people from all over the country are praying for you as well.  I am so proud of every VT student and Blacksburg community member I have seen on the news this week.  I am in awe of what passionate, intelligent, and caring people all of the victims were.  You have represented the victims, yourselves, and the VT community with such class and courage.  You all continue to make me so proud to call myself a Hokie.

As an Alumni of Va Tech I am deeply saddened by the events that occurred on Monday.  As the father of a Tech student I want to thank the VT Police department and President Steger for all they have done for the University.  This day will be remembered by the Hokie Nation forever.

My prayers go out to the victims and their families. I cannot imagine the pain they are suffering and am blessed to have my daughter home safe at the moment.

We will never forget the heroic efforts displayed and the lives of those lost.

God Bless you all,

My deepest condolences and prayers go out to all of you, students, teachers, and parents that have survived this horrific event, and most of all my thoughts and prayers to the families that had a loved one lost.

It is so hard to believe that someone could do anything so severe as this.

Believe me, as I have been through many losses myself, that you will prevail, time will start to somewhat heal the wounds, and remember always that when things seem too tough, you reach for help to our Lord above.  He will not let you down.

I have designed a special memorial for all of you, as I am a designer on two websites.  If you would like to read what I designed especially for all of you dear people you can link to it below.

Many years ago I got caught up in the middle of a crossfire between gang members in my hometown.  One of those situations where you find yourself in the wrong place, in the wrong time. I still jump out of my skin at the sound of a gunfire or similar sounds. I still have nightmares about it. Sometimes I survive in my nightmares, other times I don’t. I just want to express my deepest condolences to all students, staff, professors, victims, and families of this tragedy. I really lack words to describe my grief. May God be w/ you and bring you comfort and peace.

We are calling out to God for comfort and courage for the parents who have lost their precious children and to all the students grieving the loss of their friends, classmates and professors.  We know our God is for us and our children and what the evil meant for bad, God will turn it around for the GOOD.  Let God draw you to himself.  He loves us and has great things in store.  God bless.  Your friends in Colorado

Bring peace and solitude of spirit to the friends and families of all those involved in this horrific massacre at VT.  Help them to process what has happened in their lives.  Let them heal.

The consequences are so much more far reaching than the slain.  There are the injured survivors, friends, families and the community.  The people of this great country and those around the world mourn with you, too.  You are not alone.  We all take pride in knowing that through strength of spirit and pride, you will rise once more.  Hoakie Pride, Hoakie Spirit!

Today the Hokie Nation is a billion people strong. The Hokie stone appears cold and immutable, but stands for the strength that reaches out to those who mourn. These were the professors I worked with, the students I recruited- never realizing they were all heroes behind those bright eyes. May the legacy of our fallen friends be that we carry on their work of teaching, learning and providing examples of goodness and kindness to the world.

What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” ~ Helen Keller

A Better Resurrection

by Christina Georgina Rossetti

I have no wit, no words, no tears;
My heart within me like a stone
Is numbed too much for hopes or fears.
Look right, look left, I dwell alone;
I lift mine eyes, but dimmed with grief
No everlasting hills I see;
My life is in the falling leaf:
O Jesus, quicken me.

My life is like a faded leaf,
My harvest dwindled to a husk:
Truly my life is void and brief
And tedious in the barren dusk;
My life is like a frozen thing,
No bud nor greenness can I see:
Yet rise it shall--the sap of spring;
O Jesus, rise in me.

My life is like a broken bowl,
A broken bowl that cannot hold
One drop of water for my soul
Or cordial in the searching cold;
Cast in the fire the perished thing;
Melt and remould it, till it be
A royal cup for Him, my King:
O Jesus, drink of me.

We are all human first and when one human hurts another human, or in this tragic case, other humans, that force vibrates through the universe and affects everyone on this planet in some way.
I sympathize with all who lost and also to the one who felt so compelled to act with so much malice and disregard for his own life and the other lives he took and others he has forever affected by injury. Be vigilent to your surroundings, upgrade your moral sense of responsibility. I am.

I pray for the families and all those affected by this terrible tragedy. As a college student, I can not even begin to imagine what it would be like to go through a similar tragedy at my own school. I mourn the loss of such brilliant minds, and hope that the lives they lived will impact people in such a way that they will change for the better. God be with all of you during this time.
