It is criminal that Cho was not expelled as soon as he set fire to a dorm room. The civil rights of everyone on campus were violated by whomever made the decision to allow Cho to live among them. And once a murder had been commited on campus simply cancelling classes, by notifying teachers and RA’s or taping signs on buildings, would have prevented these multiple deaths. The incompetence and disrespect here is staggering.  Joan Cohen

It seems like my generation, those who are in college now, has had to deal with a lot of violence from our peers. We lived through Columbine and the other school shootings. We’ve dealt with bomb threats and gang violence. But no matter how many times we, as a nation, as a generation, go through these events, the sting never fades. The pain is always as new as when we first realized that this world is not safe. That is why I am thankful for hope and faith. Without the God that I know exists out there, we would have no incentive to look toward the future with sad, yet hopeful hearts.

As a student at the University of North Florida, I send my deepest sympathies and constant prayers to everyone at Virgnia Tech. God will bring you through this. He will heal the wounds.

We are ALL Hokies, now and forever.

To all of the Staff and Students of Virginia Tech…

My wife and I were shocked when we heard of the attack. We pray that those who are wounded both in mind and body recover quickly. We also pray for the families of those who have been lost. Though miles separate us, we join our nation in mourning your loss and praying for your speedy recovery.

I am a Titan; I graduated from Cal State Fullerton. We too had a dark day in 1976. To a small degree, I feel what all of you are going through. The pain and fear will slowly subside; but it will never be gone. But know this, the prayers and concerns of a nation 30 years ago are the same today. You, just like we did 30 years ago, will make it through this dark time.

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 KJV

God Bless and may the LORD provide all of you His comfort and care.

I can’t believe something like this can happen again. It seems like we’ve came so far in this post 9/11 world only to see a tragedy like this. Regardless of your favorite college teams or what not, we’re all Hokies now. The only nation’s with you guys. My prayers go out to each of those lost that day.

There can be no understanding of why a tragedy of this nature took place, but there may be a much better way to look at the situation. If you are a gardener, and you have planted roses, you choose to pick the perfect rose at just the right time, when it is in full bloom. There is no specific time that you can pick it, only when it is the most beautiful.

If you can imagine God as the gardener, then for the family and friends of those lost in the unreal tragedy at Virginia Tech, God has just received the most beautiful bouquet of roses...and they will be in full bloom forever.

My heart and deepest sympathies go out to all the victim’s family members, including Cho’s family.  I can’t imagine the grief that they all feel and pray that ALL the victims are in God’s loving presence.
Here we had an obviously troubled young man who needed help and got none. I read that he was bullied unmercifully in his younger school years and nobody did a thing to help him.  He was tormented as a youth and was pushed beyond his limits. I hope those individuals that bullied, teased and “tortued” him all those years have to feel some sort of responsibility for this tragedy, for they are ultimately the blame for this young man’s demise.  It’s a shame that one human being can be so cruel to another and then shocked when something like this happens.  Please teach your children to be kind and considerate of others and to treat them as they would like to treated themselves.  To the parents of children that are bullied, stand up for your children and make sure that they get the help that they may need.  It’s a cruel world out there and it’s up to us to make sure that our children are protected.  They are our future and if we don’t take care of them, we have no future.  Peace & God Bless.

And when we have
remembered everything,
we grow afraid
of what we may forget.
A face, a voice, a smile?
No need to fear forgetting,
because
The heart remembers always.

MAY GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU ALL

You are all in my prayers and I cannot imagine how y’all are feeling. Please be kind to each other as people greive in their own ways. One the greiving is over never forget those individuals and he’s something that might help:

Ephesians 5:15 encourages us to “be very careful how you live, making the most of your time.” Each and every one of us is going through tough times right now, but God is getting ready to bless us in a way that only He can.
Keep the faith.
