VT Families and Friends,
I don’t know how to express my sympathy’s to you and I don’t want to cause you pain today.  Please find comfort knowing that you have support even from those you don’t know.
We’ll never understand why things happen the way they do.
But just remember that your loved ones will live in your memories and heart forever until the day that you meet again.  I believe that God has given Them Angel’s wings to watch over and protect you.
And don’t forget that they are only a thought away.
May the happiness you shared together warm your heart today and always…
My thoughts and prayers to you everyday.
A friend far away,
Jason, Anna & Tyler (3)

I cannot imagine your pain, sorrow, anger, or the disblief you are feeling.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  The one positive I have gained has been watching the students and the staff.  I see very intelligent, articulate, polite, and caring people.  We see so much of the negative behaviors of our young people in the news, that it has been a blessing to see these wonderful young people and to know this same kind of behavior by our young is repeated on every campus in the nation.  It is comforting to know our nation will be in good hands when these young adults become the leaders, teachers, doctors, muscicians, artists, lawyers, nurses, on and on, of tomorrow. Again, you are in our prayers.  Sincerely A.J. and Jim Foster, Kennewick, Wa.

TO all affected in this tragic event:

May God watch over you all and give strength to pursue a new beginning. May we all learn from this.

Oh God make me brave
Let me stregthen after pain
As a tree stregthens after rain,
Shining and lovely again.

As the blown grass lifts, let me rise
From sorrow with quiet eyes,
Knowing thy way is wise.
God make me brave.

Life brings such blinding things!
Help me to keep thee in thy sight,
Knowing all through my might,
That out of dark, comes Light.

God Bless.

To the Virigina Tech family and community,

I am deeply sadden about the tragic losses this past week on campus. I am currently a part-time student at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. I just have tears in my eyes rolling down my face. When listening to the VA college students being interviewed. They all seem to really love the school and the campus life. So, many of them how great potential of professional cares.

I wish the victims who are still recovering the best luck. It’s going to be a long haul for everyone. Everyone grieves at various stages.

I didn’t know much about VA until these past few days. I knew the school from NCAA basketball but that was it. I didn’t realize all the programs VA offer in the undergraduate and graduate problems.

I wish the remaining students the best of luck and hopefully they will continue their education at VA Tech.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the family members involved. It will be a really long healing process, but the nation is supporting everyone.

Sincerely,
Cheryl Henchar

There is so much to say but I keep finding myself at a loss for words.  I felt this way after I watched the towers fall.  One of the things that stunned me back then was the outpouring of love and support from people around the country and around the world.  I hope that in some small way this message board helps the grieving process for the families, the friends, the school, the community.  Here in NYC I am so sad for what you are going through but, more importantly - I have so much hope for you, too.

I don’t watch television often, but the news I heard on Monday touched me deeply.I’m really sad cause what happened to the people of VT.Everyday news on tv are more and more absurd, how is it possible that someone can do that?I mean,33 people died, students who where there to assure themselves a better future,a professor who survived the Holocaust, they died because reasons.I’m thinking about all the students that are living moments that no one can imagine, the sadness and the shock I’m feeling right now it’s nothing compared to what THEY are feeling. They lost friends, classmates, roommates, sons, daughters, brothers or sisters, still wondering why,and they won’t ever find an answer...it’s not fair!!!Why??No answer
I feel like I’m a Hokie myself even if I live at the other part of the ocean,I feel like I’m their friend,classmate,roommate...I’m there wih you guys!!!
Many things to say,Many question to do to try to understand what’s happening in this world...but I won’t ever have answers,so why bother???
The sadness that I have in my heart tells me to stop here so I send a big embrace to all Hokies,VT people and everyone’s suffering now for this.
Remember that you’re not alone in this!!!
