It is hard to believe such terrible tragedy happened. For me as mother of an international student in the US it is hard to absorb this grave situation at Virginia Tech. I pray for the souls of all the innocent victims and mourn with their mothers and families.
I believe our support will make all students and staff in Virginia tech feel stronger.

Watching CNN from my living room this morning in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, I cried.
There are so many more people grieving than just those families who have lost loved ones, the whole world is sharing in your pain and loss! This touches not only your community but every human being who feels love and loss. The whole world is embracing all of you and we are all sending you strength to carry on. We must all take hope from this tragedy and believe that something good will come out of it.

My husband and I would like to express our utmost sorrow and sympathy to the University and all the families who have lost their beloveds in this tragedy. We have had family attending Virginia Tech for over a 100 years from my grandfather in 1905 to our son in 2004 and we have always felt that Tech was more than just a university.  To us it has been a family legacy that we cherish.  We are and will always remain proud to be a Hokie.  You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
