Please go on and do not let this one tragedy be what defines you for a lifetime. Each and every survivor and surviving family member will have a chance to go foward.

My heart goes out to the parents, siblings, friends and significant others of those who tragically had their lives taken why to soon.

To all of the students and faculty of Virginia Tech and their families. We invite you to join your hearts with ours in prayer as we enfold every person in thoughts of comfort, peace, and faith, trusting the love of God to uphold and sustain each one through this difficult time.

The love of God is the source of strength. We pray that those who lost a loved one will find strength and assurance in the knowledge that God’s love is eternal and their loved one is eternally enfolded in God’s care and keeping.

The very life of God is the source of healing and renewal. As we pray for those who need healing, we see each person as whole in mind, body, and spirit. God is a safe haven, and in this knowledge each person can find peace and strength to move ahead. We pary that good will come from this tradegy, so that all parents and family members, may be comforted, and see GOD;s goodness.

Dear all current and former Hokies,

I am with the rest of you, my Hokie family, in this our time of great pain.  I wish everyone peace and hope.  Our community extends across this planet, and events of such monumental suffering only make clearer the ties that bind us.  Mine were made ever stronger recently, as I was back on campus exactly two weeks before the events of Monday.  Let us focus on our love for one another and bring as much compassionate energy to this wounded world in our own time of hardship.

Much love and faith to all the Virginia Tech families, students and faculty.  My deepest sympathy for the horrific loss that has occurred.  I know that area well and love the people there.  Your grace, dignity and fortitude during these past few days has been both a shining example to others in the United States but also to the world.  I pray for all during this time of need and pain.

It is impossible to explain the impact of this tragedy on the families and friends of the victims...it is equally impossible to explain why, some 20 years and 250 miles away from Virginia Tech, I find myself weeping for their loss...for our loss.  I have never been prouder to be a Hokie.  One day I hope my children, too, will be Hokies. I know they will be safe there, and they may not remember this tragedy- but rested assured, we will never forget.  God Bless Virginia Tech

My family and I pray for all the victims and their families.  My six year says her own prayers for the ones killed and their families she prays that God blesses them and helps the families.  This has made me hug my daughter more and I constantly am telling her that I love her.  My heart breaks for these wonderful remarkable young people who would have really made a wonderful difference is this harsh world.  I think that the photos of the killer should have not been aired.  These families have lost everything.  When you lose a child it feels like everything my Grandmother told me this when she lost my aunt to pneumonia.  God be with you all.  My daughter and I also pray for the ones in the hospitals that they may recover and try to put their lives back together as much as possible and for all the survivors & families.  God Bless All You.

As a college student, its hard to fathom what it would be like to have been in Virginia Tech’s place.  I have a few friends that go to VT and I know that they are going through some rough times.  Their faith and school spirit will pull them through this tragic time.  But as said on CNN, today we are all HOKIES and my thoughts and prayers are with the entire HOKIE family.  May those that passed RIP!

I have always been a fan of Virginia Tech. I have been up there for a couple of football games. I want all the families and friends of the lost and hurt to know that I am praying for you. I had some very close friends up there (they were safe). Just remember that God is always with you no matter the situation. I have wore a tech shirt all week (i have about 10) and will wear one on friday to work. Just remember once a hokie always a hokie.

The only thing I’ve learned from this horrible tragedy is how beautiful and precious and fragile life is.  It makes me feel it is our duty to live our lives fully, with grace and compassion, to conduct ourselves in a way that honors the lives we all lost April 16. Please welcome with me each new day as the gift that it truly is, and keep the memories of our loved ones with us, let them inspire us to live our lives as they might have lived theirs.  It is through us they all live on.
May God bless the all those at Viginia Tech and their loved ones.

We have two college aged children and although neither attends VT, our son very nearly did.  We all loved the campus and the people there and would have been thrilled if our son had become a Hokie.

We were impressed then, as now, in the spirit of the VT community. Please know you are in our hearts in ways that can never be measured.

May you find the strength to endure.  In the meantime, the world will hold you up until you can stand on your own once again.

When one Hokie is hurt and in pain, ALL Hokies are hurt and in pain.
Are thoughts and prayers are with you ALL.  Let them know through out the world that VA Tech is not to be known for the university campus of mass murder but, for the university campus of Strength, Survival, and Support!  We will not let this define us, YET we will NEVER forget those we love and have lost.  DO NOT allow the media to elevate this monster who did this by publishing his insane rantings any longer.  There is no explaination, no excuse, no reasoning for the what he has done!  God be with you all and give you strength at this time of mourning.

We all mourn for the senseless killings that recently took place at Va Tech.  Across the State of Virginia, April 20th has been declared a day of mourning.  Flags fly at half staff over the entire State of Virginia and over all federal buildings including the White House and the nation’s Capitol in Washington.

We give solice and prayers to the many who have been affected by these horrific events.  We all pray for the victims and their families and for countless others who are in some way connected to the Virginia Tech family—those across the State, the nation, and the world.

Our solidarity is viewed as a true symbol of unity and support. And that’s the Va Tech way!

All of our hearts are full of sorrow and people all over this country are asking God to provide comfort.  While it is impossible to make sense of such violence and suffering we all stand together as One - Hokie - Nation!

When I first heard of this tragedy, all I could think was “No...this can’t happen to somebody else.”

Since losing my father a few years ago in a preventable tragedy of monumental loss in which 100 people died, I wouldn’t dream of having this happen to anybody else. I wouldn’t even wish it upon my worst of enemies.

May the angels of 4/16/07 find peace. May the wounded heal quickly, and not suffer physically or mentally. May the families of victims find peace from all this sadness, and know that they are not alone.

College students around the world, it’s time to unite. Once someones attacks one of us, its not about school rivalries, or football championships any more. We are all Hokies now, and must support eachother.
